Number 3 seed Joy Reid pulled the upset and edged out Nicolle Wallace, of the metaphorical Rachel, who had spanked the literal Rachel in the Elitist Eight.
Reid will face Number 1 seed Margaret Brennan of CBS. Brennan entered the tournament as the highest ranked participant in pb's Power Rankings. Brennan coasted to an easy victory over CNN’s Jake Tapper, a Number 5 seed who had defeated Top Seed Nora O'Donnell, Number 2 in the Power Rankings.
Reid is bonkers enough to have been fired by the metaphorical Rachel, while Maddow and Wallace still preach the Rachel Gospel. Her raw hack-ness, too much even for MSNBC, gave her the edge in a battle which was tied for most of the 24 battle.
The Reid, of metaphorical Rachel/O'Donnell, of CBS Evening News, match-up is a classic face-off between po's craziness and Curt's more traditionally biased Holy Trinity.
