I'm the one person active on SS now who opposed the withdrawal and is heartbroken over what's happening to Afghan women and girls, LGBTQs and SIV holders, and, for that matter, every victim in Afghanistan of the Taliban and Al Qaeda and ISIS.

You can blame the presidents who initiated and continued a war that caused death and destruction to the apparent benefit of no one. Biden has guts to say "enough!" If you are for prolonging a war "a little while longer, you are for killing innocent civilians. Also people need to get real about drone strikes. They are more precise than bombs being dropped on suspected enemy targets but they are not perfect. It's not rralistic to expect no civilian deaths. By comparison, in WWII about 20 million military personnel and 40 million civilians died.
