Trump and leaders of Canada and Mexico say tariffs will be delayed one month after talks
The pauses provide a cool-down period after a tumultuous few days that put North America on the cusp of a trade war that could have crushed economic growth, caused prices to soar and ended two of the United States’ most critical partnerships.
“Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together,” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted Monday afternoon on X, saying that his government would name a fentanyl czar, list Mexican cartels as terrorist groups and launch a “Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering.
pb... AND OD... said months ago, that it's unlikely that Trump would impose many, if any, tariffs while you members of the progressive Dem Swampcult were soiling your knickers, certain that the worldwide economy would collapse as soon as Trump sat behind the desk in the Oval Office.
Boy, were you wrong!
Do you see now how it will work? Another country gets out of line. Trump mumbles the T word and order is restored.
Colombia.
Mexico.
Canada.
I can't imagine what it's like to have deranged TDS, though I see it here everyday.
