po put a whacky, deluded, note on Facebook yesterday about the death of democracy in the US. Absolutely insane.
During the 024 campaign, the Biden, then Harris, campaigns told ridiculous lies about Trump... he's going to set aside the Constitution... he's going to turn the military on his enemies... he promised to be a dictator from Day One... he's going to pass a nationwide ban on abortion... he's going to foist Project 2025 on everyone...
Politically, ole pb was beside himself because neither Trump nor JD ever responded to the lies.
Turns out. The only people who believed that ridiculousness were the crazy, like po, Donna, isle. I'm not sure Indy or Curt did. But, we know now, that virtually every persuadable voter knew those lies were horse$#!t...
But, especially woke, deranged practitioners of TrumpHate believed. Heart. Body. And, soul.
My heart goes out to you all. Hopefully, it won't be long before you reconnect to reality... for your sake and for the sake of the nation.
Below is a post one of my Facebook friends posted on November 6. Heartbreaking.
I wish the best for every deranged TrumpHater:
I keep running to the Internet and hoping to read something different. Sorry, the count was wrong. Actually, she was the winner.
I sprint to social media and hope to read something that soothes my heart. I only see heartbreak. No words can be written to describe the deep ocean of betrayal we feel, by a country that proclaims freedom, by a religion that boasts of love.
I turn to the Internet and keep seeing people that I know will be harmed by this decision, celebrate. I see people who claim to love the least of these, silent. Like I stepped off a merry go round, I am dizzy, my eyes find no place to land.
I will not be silent. My entire friend group is at risk by this decision. I am a Lesbian woman whose love and ability to have a family is on the line. My friend might not be able to carry children because of the inability to have a safe pregnancy. My friend who was not born in this country and her citizenship questioned because of her nationality. My LGBTQIA+ clients, my clients in domestic violent situations, my CLIENTS. The list goes on and on and on and on, my head is exploding.
Today we grieve, we gather together, we stand with one another the way we were taught all our lives, for Us, for the Least of These, for the minorities, for everyone's voice that is being robbed in this decision.
I don't know what's next, but I do know that I will continue to use my voice, my work and my life for the marginalized and for change.
