Many here seem to think that The States will do a better job of establishing education requirements than the Federal Department of Education has, is, or will do.

It seems to me that allowing the states to set education standards is a guaranteed way to ensure that some states will absolutely destroy their young people's futures with a public education that will make what we have now look like a full Stanford scholarship.


I'd like to hear how proponents of destroying the DoE think that it will lead to actually better educations for American children in every state of this country.

I agree. California, for instance. It seems to me that the issue is that the DOE has so abused its prerogatives... to the point that many of us are convinced that the DOE has to be scrapped so we can start over. Still, to turn education over to, for example, woke idiots in California or to Neanderthals in, say, Mississippi would do more harm than good.
