I'm thankful I'm not a member of the Brown Shorts.

I'm thankful I don't have to watch Fox 24/7/365 like the Brown Shorts on the board.

I'm thankful I'm not dumb enough to believe the Orange Skidmark is going to do anything for the USA.

I'm thankful Pharaoh Fatso is too stupid to understand how much power he actually has now.

I'm thankful the world is liberal and progressive whether the Brown Shorts like it or not.

I'm thankful for the variety of peoples who are progressive.

I'm thankful I don't live in a lily white neighborhood like the Brown Shorts on the board.

I'm thankful my parents taught me all people are equal unlike the wingnutty losers out there.

I'm thankful I got a real education which taught me how our government works unlike the Brown Shorts.

I'm thankful my parents were smart enough to let us know the military is a ruse for suckers.

I could start the liberal version of the Babbling Bees - harsh, cruel, unfunny "humor" that only the hardest of the hardcore Ds would enjoy.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on November 27, 2024 3:27 pm

Wokes and progressives ain't into laughing.

Speaking of laughing. I watched videos of the MSNBC election night coverage. The metaphorical Rachel was stunned to see that the Hispanic vote for Trump expanded so radically... even though that comic made a Puerto Rico joke.

Apparently, Hispanics do have a funnybone!

  5. by Indy! on November 27, 2024 4:34 pm

And the orange ass monkey will reward them by sending them and their families back to whatever country they never lived in. Smart! Like all Brown Shorts.

You're just feeling rejected because most of the country doesn't agree with you. And far fewer agree with you on defunding the police, and become an anarchist to be a little bitch to all the (non cartel, meaning NOT your butties) gangs that would gladly murder you piece by piece. If you want the pictures again, I can post those.

The issue is you're NOT any part of being correct. You're a loser that can't support that your (personally) thoughts support anyone else in this country. On everything you've said, the 70% that disagree with you are not stupid. They are following Maslow's Theory of Hierarchy. This is the pyramid from base to top.

SELF-ACTUALIZATION (The desire to become the most they can be)
In your world, no one can do that except by people that believe in your (personally) ideals. Therefore, everyone else doesn't have the capacity to reach self- actualization because they don't agree with you. So they're stupid, and worth calling names.

ESTEEM (sense of belonging, respect, self-esteem, recognition, strength, freedom)
You believe that only people in "their group" should have a sense of belonging and respect within their own group. AND if they are part of the "special people" recognition, strength, and freedom must come from everyone else, regardless of their group. That's a bunch of bullshit.

Love and belonging (family and friends, intimacy, sense of connection)
YOUR sense of connection is the same as it was in pre-civil war era. Everyone should hate everyone.

Security is next (security of family and themselves, employment, property, health).
Security is the worst holdup of the dims. You yourself don't believe people should be secure in their own houses. But you DO feel secure. So you're a two-faced little bitch.

Physiological needs first. Water, food, shelter, sleep, procreation (you're a loser).
You don't give a shit about the physical needs of any human (other than yourself). The dims forgot the physical needs of everyone but themselves.

You notice the dims just hate everything. They can't even "imagine" being thankful for anything unless it's a negative. I think that's funny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well maybe not the subject, because that's pretty sad.

Maybe it's just him that's the laughing stock of the group.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You can always tell when you hit one of OD's nerves - it sends him right away to google some new psychology nonsense from the same avocado toast eating effeminate men he's always complaining about but really wants to sex up.

    Thanks meagain. 👍

I think it's really interesting how you "say" how "educated" you are, and yet have never heard of Maslow's theory. AND you continually refuse to at least look it up or check it out to counter my claim. Even in an "art" "degree" you needed to take some sciences, etc. Obviously you didn't.

I think it may be two things. First, you're completely too lazy to actually understand common theories and reasoning. And you're too much of a narcissist and toxic person to actually give a shit about any other person at all. The post above is the only positive thing I've ever seen you post. That's a tell. So is when you jump into conversations when they're specifically posting to another person and taking it personally, along with continually playing the victim of your own life and blaming everyone else.

That's why I cite so much. You whine about no citations, and you don't care about the citations. Then you whine about lack of information, then you whine about "cut and paste" where I give you the original source instead of my "thoughts" on the source.

A political science Professor I used to know thought it was more basin than Maslow though I think it would have been before Maslow's time.

He would tell his class that there were four basic human needs. Food, drink, shelter, and copulation but not necessarily in that order.

    Everything else was gravy.

  13. by oldedude on November 29, 2024 1:58 pm
So being secure to believe being taken in the middle of the night to be raped and murdered isn't a need?

And you are the one that talked all sorts of shit regarding my hatred of "artists." Which was also false. Where does art go into your scale there? If it isn't part of the "professor's" system, why do we have art? Why do we care about art?

Why does anyone care about how they're treated? If someone is disrespected?

These are just the questions I have about that statement. I mean, he's free to have his "idea." As an anthropologist and a political scientist,* I think it's vastly incomplete.

*BA in anthropology, BA/MS in political science.

I feel like you're trying to say something, Odorous. 🤔

    Not to you.

  16. by meagain on November 29, 2024 7:10 pm

If you have access to a dictionary, OD. If not, ask your local Librarian how to check the meaning of words. Then research a word spelt NEED. If you are bold enough, move on to a comparison with wants and interests.

Security is a separate category and I wouldn't want to burden you too severely by bringing that in.

  17. by oldedude on November 29, 2024 9:27 pm
You've never been in any place that you didn't sleep for months because you weren't safe, have you...

Oh. Yeah. You maneuvered yourself into being a pencil pusher instead of going to ROK. I remember that. So you never got to experience the feeling of "not being safe." You're what I've called for a very long time, a "delicate" "man." Everything you "know" about "war" is third hand from the 1950's, or worse. They may be rumours, or something equally as stupid.
Your life is all unicorns, and rainbows, and sunshine!

You've never even talked to someone that was held by a parent to be raped. Or the wife of a tweeker (meth addict) and was pimped out so he could make money.

I have been jaded. 1. I've actually been in war and close combat battles where the blood of the person I shot was on my uniform, and I've had to push bodies off of the living to get to them. To put it mildly, my sidearm was used most often (.40 SiG) and I was pretty fucking good with it because I had lots of practise. I shoot completely ambidextrous and left eyed. with pistol I shoot with both eyes open. My shots were to the throat or head. I couldn't afford anything else.

I worked in a group where we used a six week course with the "medium risk" 16-18 year olds. We had a set of twin girls. Step daddy would put one in cuffs and hang her in the closet while he raped the other one. Then as the other one was left bleeding and crying, he would chain her and use the other one.

How does that fit in your "order of a society" It should fit grandly, since the UK and IRE have huge problems with "uncle earnie."

  18. by meagain on November 30, 2024 1:32 pm

I OD have had death threats in civilian life and lived with them for five years. I have disarmed a pistol-waving teen high on drugs in my business since then. In Quebec, it was said that Rene Levesque (The separatist {remier) was more afraid of my pen than of the Canadian Army. It was because of that that I received death threats from Separatist thugs. And, I have physically faced them in their mob.

You are a joke and you should learn what actually fighting for justice is. I also told you that I volunteered for Korea: something I would not have done later. But then, I was an idealistic 18-year-old and believed the crap we were fed.

  19. by oldedude on November 30, 2024 2:08 pm
And? Every time we went into country, we had a bounty on our heads. Depending on where we were, it could be up to $25K. I will say that takes a lot more stones than many people here that talk tough, but won't raise a finger to help anyone, and more stones than most people think. So my hat's off to you.

As far as "fighting for justice." I'll remind you again, that my job was to rescue and ensure people lived, giving medical care in the middle of gun fights. I generally quit carrying my rifle, it was horribly hard to use especially when dealing with folks with arterial blood loss. And I was never out of range with a pistol, generally speaking within 3-5 metres. We not only saved coalition military members, but a buttload of civilians the assholes tried to murder or beat to death. Sometimes they were children. That was done to keep the family in line.

  20. by Indy! on November 30, 2024 5:53 pm

You told us in the past you were never in a live fire situation.

  21. by oldedude on November 30, 2024 8:30 pm
    prove it asshole.

  22. by Indy! on December 1, 2024 11:14 am

Sounds like you got caught in another lie. I get it now, OD - your brother got a PhD, you couldn't keep up.... mom and dad got mad... you have to make up stories about being "close" to live fire because you were never in live fire. You're just like me - never been to war. The only difference is I'm not collecting a welfare check for pretending like I was "close" to live fire.

  23. by oldedude on December 1, 2024 12:06 pm
So you can't prove it. Got it. So you just got caught in YET ANOTHER LIE.

  24. by meagain on December 1, 2024 1:00 pm

I am puzzled by you, OD. I have not mentioned this in the past, but the Geneva Convention prohibits the carrying of weapons by medical personnel. I assume that you were not actually in the Medical corps?

  25. by Donna on December 1, 2024 1:09 pm

The US doesn't follow international law, meagain.

  26. by oldedude on December 1, 2024 1:15 pm
That went away in VietNam. You're about 60+ years behind the times. You also believe that "medics must wear identification patches on their uniforms. Then your asshole buddies started putting hits out on the medics because they weren't bound by the Geneva Convention.

Long story short. ALL medics carry guns and no patches. We're also not restricted like you think. Although you always want to take care of the wounded and dying first. And as an operator, your job most of the time is to support the team. So they give up the non-combatant status, which give them a longer lifespan.

Combat medics of the United States military may put themselves at greater risk than many other roles on the battlefield. In recent conflicts, the enemies faced by a professional army (often insurgents) may not have respect for the laws of war and may actively target combat medics for the significant value they have in keeping the unit combat-effective. Since the non-combatant status granted to medics may not always be respected, modern combat medics carry weapons for personal defense and in most Western armies are virtually indistinguishable from regular infantrymen.

FYSA- We already went through this. It was on the old site, so it's been a minute.
