The organizer of a private mission to rescue an American mom, Mariam, and her three children from Afghanistan says the US State Department is now trying to insert itself into the story of her evacuation, despite playing little to no role for much of the rescue effort.

Senior State Department officials on Monday announced that the “U.S. has facilitated the safe departure of four US citizens by overland route from Afghanistan. Embassy staff was present upon their arrival.”

But those actually involved in the dangerous rescue operation say the State Department deserves little to no credit for Mariam’s escape from Afghanistan...

“The State Department didn’t do anything for two weeks except put my constituents in danger and leave them stranded. I know this for a fact because my office has been working around the clock to get our people home with no legitimate support from State. Only after Cory Mills and his team got them into the third country did State offer support by securing tourist visas,” the congressman continued...

Rep. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla, called it a “flat out lie” that the State Department facilitated Mariam’s evacuation, saying the credit belongs to a “team of patriots who worked around the clock for two weeks to get them out, despite the many roadblocks from the State Department.”

An effin "flat out lie."

Joe has been surrounded, by the smoke filled room handlers, with a mob of incompetent liars.

I think Joe's too far gone mentally still to be a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap." But, he's the figurehead of a corrupt, weak, useless, harmful team of morons that is responsible for the torturous deaths of many good people in Afghanistan.

When something good does happen in Afghanistan, it because of what private citizens do!

It's good that you put your "I think Joe's too far gone mentally still to be a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" at the end, which you repeat ad infinitum like a mental patient, because whenever I see that, I stop reading. I'll make sure to scan ahead from now on.

When I quote that Joe is a feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap, I'm publishing the sentiments of many millions of your co citizens.

I, truly, believe that Joe's no longer intellectually capable of achieving the status of being a feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap, his dementia having advanced as far as it has.

But, practically speaking, he functions as a feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap.

What the hell was American citizen "Mariam" waiting for to leave Afghanistan?

The state department have been talking with the Taliban who have been allowing stragglers like her to leave. Unbeknownst to Mariam there are delicate negotiations behind the scenes which she apparently doesn't appreciate.

Perhaps she has no faith in that so called feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap. Many don't.
