Competing campaigns try to make a big deal out of their opponent’s minor flubs and awkward comments. This one isn’t minor. It matters when a candidate treasonously puts Americans health and well being behind Vladimir Putin’s. We also should know who Trump’s accomplices were in this episode.
CNN—Russia has confirmed that Donald Trump sent the Kremlin sample Covid-19 tests in the early days of the pandemic, after revelations in veteran journalist Bob Woodward’s new book raised further questions about the former US president’s relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
The Trump administration “sent us several samples of test kits,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday, broadly supporting Woodward’s claim. His intervention comes after Trump denied the claims, telling ABC News they were “false.”
Legendary reporter Woodward wrote in “War” that Trump “secretly sent Putin a bunch of Abbott Point of Care Covid test machines for his personal use.”

Russian language instruction will be mandatory in all grade schools across America if Trump is elected.

Is that some kind of act of treason?
You TDS lot get more bonkers by the day!!!!
If he should win, I'm thinking the suicides will number in the tens of thousands!!!!!

Your schtick didn't work before Trump's latest act of treason against America - why do you think it's going to work now, peebs?
by Curt_Anderson on October 12, 2024 7:26 pm HtS, do you have a legal argument to make that Trump's giving to Putin that which should have gone to Americans first is NOT treasonous? Whether or not Trump technically meets the definition of being a traitor it is another good conversation to have in the final weeks before election day.
After report Trump sent COVID tests to Putin, governors cry betrayal
“Now we are reading reports that during this unprecedented and historic public health crisis, while Americans were dying and desperate for life saving supplies, former President Trump was personally sending testing kits to Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the governors wrote. “For that, we demand answers.”
The statement claims that Trump’s “cozy relationship with Putin has been well documented,” and that the new report shows him “putting a foreign dictator before Americans, threatening our national security in the process.”
“Former President Trump betrayed us. Americans suffered during the pandemic. 1.2 million Americans died, many because they did not have access to adequate supplies at a critical time,” the governors wrote. “Donald Trump must explain why he put his personal friendship with Putin, a ruthless dictator and war criminal, over the American people.”
‘The View’ Hosts Are Mind-Blown by Trump Sending COVID Tests to Russia During Shortage in US: ‘Definition of a Traitor’
“I’m all for helping our allies, when we have excess and they have needs; we did not have excess and this is our adversary!” Alyssa Farah Griffin says. wisconsinexaminer.com thewrap.com
by Curt_Anderson on October 13, 2024 9:56 am GTrump’s unholy alliance with Putin matters. Gov. Walz supposedly improperly loading his gun is an example of what doesn’t matter. Teleprompters used or not used does not matter. Trump being a convicted felon and traitor matters to decent people.

"‘The View’ Hosts Are Mind-Blown by Trump Sending COVID Tests to Russia During Shortage in US: ‘Definition of a Traitor’"
The View.
Says it all.
If Trump had diverted 10,000,000 tests for Russian citizens, that'd been sumpthin.
But, you woke. The US never had a shortage of Covid TESTS.
This is puuuuuure silliness.

Traitors going to traitor.
by Curt_Anderson on October 13, 2024 11:33 am No, HtS, not just some COVID tests . Trump sent Putin COVID testing machines which analyze COVID tests. See second link.
Book claims Trump secretly sent Covid test machine to Putin during shortage
A new book by veteran Watergate reporter Bob Woodward says Donald Trump secretly sent coveted Covid-19 testing machines to Vladimir Putin for personal use when they were in short supply, a claim angrily dismissed by the Trump campaign.

by Curt_Anderson on October 13, 2024 12:50 pm HtS,
The bottom line is that Trump did NOT put American First despite all of his lip service to that slogan.
Russia has been our global adversary for about 75 years. Putin is not America's friend.
by HatetheSwamp on October 13, 2024 12:53 pm
Remember. In 020 we were assisting many countries with their Covid response.
Russia was our friend in 020... before the "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" moved into the Oval Office.
by Curt_Anderson on October 13, 2024 1:19 pm
HtS,
Russia was NOT our friend in 2020. Putin and Russia was Trump's friend. Trump was and is embarrassingly subservient to Putin.
Several operatives and lawyers in the U.S. intelligence community reacted strongly to Trump's performance at the summit, describing it as "subservien[ce] to Putin" and "a fervent defense of Russia's military and cyber aggression around the world, and its violation of international law in Ukraine". Some framed Trump's conduct as harmful to U.S. interests and an asset to Russian interests, suggesting that he was a "useful idiot" to Putin,[266] and that he looked like "Putin's puppet".[267] Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper wondered "if Russians have something on Trump",[268] and former CIA director John O. Brennan accused Trump of treason, tweeting: "He is wholly in the pocket of Putin."[269] In January 2019, former acting CIA director Michael Morell called Trump "an unwitting agent of the Russian federation", echoing the sentiments of former CIA director Michael V. Hayden.[270] House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested then-President Trump's behavior was part of a pattern: "All roads lead to Putin."[271]

How much land did Putin take when OrangeTurdBad was President?
Hmmmm!!!!!?
by Curt_Anderson on October 13, 2024 4:40 pm HtS,
Are you thinking that Trump deserves credit for being president while COVID deaths worldwide (including Russia) were at its peak, hmm? There were reasons why Putin didn't attack Ukraine like being in the midst of a pandemic. It was no coincidence that Putin waited a few days after the closing Olympic ceremonies before attacking.
China asked Russia to delay Ukraine invasion until after Olympics
Senior Chinese officials told senior Russian officials in early February not to invade Ukraine before the end of the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Anyway Trump all but said that he'd support Putin retaining whatever Ukrainian land there he occupies. reuters.com cnn.com
