How To Post Here
The news media is calling Jack Smith's filing on Trump’s 2020 election plot an "October Surprise". I don't think so. For anybody paying any attention it's a total non-surprise.
There are three basic voter blocs this election.
Group 1. Pro-democracy, reality-based, informed voters
Group 2. Low-information voters, often undecided voters
Group 3. Cultists
Groups 1 and 3 are unsurprised by the revelations in Jack Smith's latest report on Trump's efforts to subvert democracy. Group 1 is again aghast and disgusted. Group 3 again accepts and perhaps approves of Trump's efforts to cheat the voters, as long as it is other voters.
Group 2 was barely aware of Trump's impeachments, the events of J6, the J6 hearings, Trump's trials and convictions or much news at all. Jack's Smith latest documentation of Trump's crimes barely registers with them. Many of them won't vote. For the few that do vote, the news won't matter.
This so-called October surprise will dissuade very few of group 3 for voting for Trump as they have already forgiven him for his long list of crimes or they don't believe he did any of them.
They only group that might be impacted by the news is group 1. It gives them another reason and another reminder that their vote is important.

Cultists? You mean the TDS HateCult?
If this is the October Surprise? I'm bored. Ho-hum.
I'll keep pounding this drum: T'only thing that counts now is what seeps into the consciousness of moderate and independent common sense voters.
The Smith thing won't.

Curt, from my reading of the brief so far, I'm hearing a lot that anyone who has paid close attention to his trials and hearings and such, we've already known about the lion's share of this evidence.
But when you put it all together like this in such a succinct and expert fashion, listing all the evidence they can and will show, the whole breadth and scope of his vast and wanton criminality comes into clear focus.

This would certainly come as a huge surprise to many voters though, Curt. I believe that it would be an existential catastrophe for a voter such as Hate, who is steadfastly against learning any real truth about Trump's various J6 crimes. Or any of his crimes for that matter. MAGA Hats adorn a great many such voters.
by Curt_Anderson on October 3, 2024 2:40 pm I thought it was obvious, HtS. By cultists I mean those who are like you who have Trump Derangement Syndrome. Only deranged people would be gullible enough to believe a word out of his mouth, much less vote for him.
As your moniker says, the cultists are the haters of America's cherished institutions including our system of democracy, our election system and our justice system.

po,
Let me start off with two words. I support KK. I support the Dingbat.
But, a prosecutor's brief. Have you even heard of the freakin friggin EFFINBillofRights?
Due process?
Americans care about that.
Not you, of course. But, most Americans.

"By cultists I mean those who are like you who have Trump Derangement Syndrome. Only deranged people would be gullible enough to believe a word out of his mouth, much less vote for him."
I believe very little of what Trump say. But, I believe in America. You?
by Ponderer on October 3, 2024 3:10 pm
Sure. Bring on the due process! We'da had all this stuff taken care of months ago if Trump hadn't intentionally and consistently impeded his own due process.
by oldedude on October 3, 2024 3:37 pm Sorry. You really need to actually look at a class in "due process" and what is involved. The FACT (not what you are "wishing" for) is that trumpster is USING HIS DUE PROCESS RIGHTS as is guaranteed in the Constitution.
I've listed some information on this, not that any of those to the left of me would look them up, it might keep you from looking like a total stooge when you "assume" you know anything about the law. bing.com

Right. He's using his due process to forestall the due process for the crimes he committed.
by oldedude on October 3, 2024 3:50 pm just watch the fucking videos. you won't look quite so stupid.

Right. He's using his due process to forestall the due process for the crimes he committed.
How did those videos contradict this statement?
by HatetheSwamp on October 3, 2024 4:50 pm
po,
I could see what's happened happening as soon as "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" DOJ started to unload these charges against Trump as late as it did.
With all of the profound Constitutional issues involved,... Separation of Powers and presidential immunity, h€ck, this DC case wouldn't have been adjudicated before the election even if Trump'd had a Public Defender.
But, still you believe. Your derangement is pure. It's entirely disconnected from reality. For someone your age to remain so detached from reality?, is amazing. YOU are amazing... as is your metaphorical Rachel.
Youdabomb. Youda absolute bomb!
