I "read" HILLBILLY ELEGY. Even before Vance was elected to the Senate. Politics aside, I became an admirer then.

Y'know that his early life is similar to my mom's. She, too, was born in Appalachia. Her mom got married at age 13 and had nine kids before she was 30. Grandma was a grandmother at age 28 and nothing was out of wedlock.

Politically, I'm not on board with all the MAGA politics, still, Vance is a whole h€ck of a lot smarter about his MAGA views than any of us here are about our political views.

But, what I really admire about him is the cohesion between his talk and his walk. In another thread, I just chided Donna for mocking Trump for a rambling Townhall answer because Donna supported President "Four more years, pause," up to the moment Joe was Let's Go Brandoned by Barack and Nancy and Kammy. Our SS woke, TDS crowd are all hypocrites.

But, not JD.

JD ain't charismatic. But, he is pure courage and character. And, voters love him for that. Trump definitely won the Veep choice contest.

TT just got a metaphorical blow job from Dana Bash in that prerecorded, edited, so-called interview. And, JD? A reporter from CNN gets booed at a Townhall simply for working for CNN.

Vance ain't got charisma. But, he's building a ton of loyalty. He'll appeal to moderate and independent, common sense voters... and he'll, as the song says, "march into hell for a heavenly cause."

I'll never vote for Trump. But, political differences aside, the day may come when I vote for Vance.

And,... great answer. He says, in effect, "The GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freedom."

Amen. Preach it bruh!

Secondly, he's an epitome of the "American Dream" much like Conde Rice. They hate people that work to make their lives better. It flies in the face of what they believe in, which is; "we're losers, so it's the government's responsibility to bring us up and live well." The JD/Condi experience of grinding your way up has been mocked on this site as "stupid." Again, JD experience of a poor childhood, learning they are required to work their way up. learn in school (not the wokester BS, but readin', writin', and 'rithmatic). And for the common person, working one, two, three jobs right now that a couple may need to work because of biden-nomics. They actually have dreams also that have been gutted by this economy. THEY get it. They're working hard and proud of it. Instead of being like the dims/libs and hating that a "white AngloSaxon Protestant Male (WASP), they see a (very dim) light at the end of the tunnel. But to vote for elitist prigs is not the answer. Enough say for a town clerk; some sort of administrator. He did hold some decent social principles. However, all that is for nothing against the fact that he is a hypocrite and an opportunist: A chance without the capability of high office. Ther is an old adage that says " in politics, a fool is more dangerous than a villain and therefore must be treated as a villain.' Trump is a villain and Vance is a villain's aide.
