Trump Campaign’s Attacks on Walz Over Felony Voting Rights Raise Eyebrows
Critics of the former president were quick to point out that, if not for policies like the one Tim Walz signed in Minnesota, Donald Trump himself would be barred from voting.

Republicans wasted no time in criticizing Gov. Tim Walz after Vice President Kamala Harris picked him as her running mate. But one of the Trump campaign’s attack lines landed awkwardly.

Mr. Walz’s “policies to allow convicted felons to vote” in Minnesota are evidence that he “is obsessed with spreading California’s dangerously liberal agenda far and wide,” said Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the Trump campaign.

One would think Trump would take advantage of the situation and push for voting rights for his fellow felons. Maybe Peebs or OD can give us an idea why Trump is being so selfish.

Because half the country doesn't think it's a good idea? You can start there.

Face it. this guy makes burnie look like George Wallace. He has continually been for school districts hiding information from parents and signing the laws to do just that. The worst thing is that the courts are absolutely disagreeing with that. So what he is doing is illegal. And he should be getting the message. But I guess he isn't really the rocket scientist the

The thing with the tampons. He supported it. One dim claimed that fourth grade boys needed them also. He signed the bill.

He's the one that supports po wanting to burn buildings (specifically police stations) and (like any dim) doesn't give a shit about any victim of crime. Summer of love riots and those losing their family businesses.

I know all the sheeple here will love this. And use it for a reason to vote for him. And half the nation will use it to vote against him.

I told you why 4th grade boys need them - to roll spliffs.

A crack kid with a crack whore mom would think like that.

You're just mad because you didn't think of it.

  6. by oldedude on August 7, 2024 5:11 am
Shocked actually. My granddaughters are that age and they're not being raised by crack whores. So they wouldn't even think of it. Responsible parenting makes a huge difference in a child's life.

So let me get this straight: half the country (conservatives including you) oppose felons voting but many of them have no problem voting for a felon.

Trump ain't a felon until the Fat Lady sings.

I'd say that the Fat Lady not only sang, but did thirty-three encores...

Nice try, po. He's not been sentenced and the appeal process will go on for EFFINyears.

As much as you'd like it, this still ain't Stalin's USSR. But, keep a good thought.

Trump Is a Convicted Felon. Among other things he cannot serve on a jury.

She and I have had that discussion a couple of times. Apparently, the idea and sense of our system of justice doesn't take. Maybe she like's Saudi's, or Iran's, or Putin's more. And maybe the "re-education" camps are also more to her liking.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on August 7, 2024 8:11 am

    Curt,

Are you telling us that when Trump goes to the polls on election day, he'll be turned away, as it stands now?

  15. by Curt_Anderson on August 7, 2024 8:37 am
    HtS,
Trump is a Florida resident, and Florida law says that a person convicted in another state can vote in Florida if they are allowed to vote in that other state. Since he was convicted in a New York state court, his eligibility to vote in Florida is governed by New York’s law, which allows everyone who’s not currently serving a sentence in prison to vote.

  16. by HatetheSwamp on August 7, 2024 8:42 am

Even in Federal elections? That doesn't seem right.

"Nice try, po. He's not been sentenced and the appeal process will go on for EFFINyears." -Hate

So you don't even know the difference between being convicted and being sentenced?

Bill, no matter what happens at sentencing, no matter if his sentence is overturned by his Supreme Whores, no matter if he wins in November and pardons himself for any crimes he ever committed or commits or was tried for or not... Donald Josephat Trump will now and forever more be known as, and in point of fact actually be, a "convicted felon".

He was entirely found guilty and convicted. Of multiple felonies. People convicted of felonies are known as "convicted felons" or even simply just as "felons".

And technically, even though he hasn't been sentenced or been physically put into prison, having been duly found guilty of a felony, he also qualifies as a "convict".

How many times did you vote for this guy again...?

Responsible parenting makes a huge difference in a child's life.

Yes, that explains why I grew up as a responsible citizen and you grew up as child porn-obsessed gun nut looking to kill anyone who doesn't agree with your twisted view of the world.
