This is music to the ears of all those people who want an authoritarian dictatorship. It appeals to those who yearn for a theocracy.

It offends those of us who believe in the Founders’ vision of a “more perfect union“ In which America is constantly improving, not stopped in time.

It is offensive on many other levels too.

Former President Trump at a Friday event hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action urged Christians to vote, saying they wouldn’t have to do it again if they got out there in November and elected him because “everything” would be “fixed.”

“Christians, get out and vote, just this time,” Trump exclaimed to a cheering crowd in West Palm Beach, Fla.

“You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians” he added.

“I love you Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote,” Trump said.

I read about that this morning. Good that you posted on it. Dumb Donald clearly is saying that if he wins in November, he will be dictator for as long as he wants. And he very weirdly believes that announcing that right now will endear him to more Americans and get him elected.

Dumb Donald is in full-on panic mode, which is causing him to say weird things out of desperation that will further ensure his defeat.

  2. by oldedude on July 27, 2024 8:37 am
He's talking about having to vote for him. "just one more time."
    moroons.

  3. by Donna on July 27, 2024 9:06 am

od: Why would he tell his supporters that they wouldn't have to ever vote again when obviously if a presidential election is held in 2028, a Democratic nominee will be running against him?

  4. by Curt_Anderson on July 27, 2024 9:17 am
Nice try, OD. “In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote,” Trump said.

If Trump had meant what you imagined, that narcissist would have said “you won’t get to vote for me again”.

  5. by Donna on July 27, 2024 9:25 am

A not-very-well-thought-out attempt by od to provide cover for Dumb Donald who very obviously promised his Christian followers a dictatorship if he's elected.

  6. by Ponderer on July 27, 2024 10:48 am

He's flat out promising those far-right wing "Christians" there that they will have their long desired authoritarian theocracy if they vote him into office. They know what he's talking about by "fixing it". He knows what he's talking about to that audience. There's tons of gearing up for it already going on. Project 2025 will certainly pave the way.

If Trump is a Christian, I'm the pope.

  8. by Ponderer on July 27, 2024 11:28 am

Isn't it funny how none of these MAGA Hats here who are defending Trump with such ludicrous zeal will go on and on trying to tell you that they don't support him and think he's despicable?

They areso totally gonna vote for him.

  9. by Indy! on July 27, 2024 11:31 am

The funny part is how embarrassed they are to stand behind what they believe in. Of course racism, xenophobia and locking up poor people is not a real vote getter outside MAGAtville.

  10. by oldedude on July 27, 2024 12:06 pm
Obviously, nobody actually read the facts, even though they were strained in curts "article," they did have the context. I know no liberal cares about either facts or context, but I was just hoping that someone would pick up on it. Y'all never disappoint!

  11. by Indy! on July 27, 2024 12:42 pm

    Question, OD -

If you were part of a military operation in charge of keeping the peace - would you shoot your fellow Americans if Trump gave the order when they rioted because Trump tried to take away their vote?

If you are a dikead (which you are), and mommy told you to steal little boys off the street, did you?

  13. by HatetheSwamp on July 27, 2024 1:42 pm

    It just struck me.

From the post that began this thread:

"Former President Trump at a Friday event hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action urged Christians to vote, saying they wouldn’t have to do it again if they got out there in November and elected him because “everything” would be “fixed.”"

I think that this is the first thing Trump's said that Curt, po and the whole TDS crowd thinks is true. Every else to this point has been a lie. Baha baha bahaha ha ahhhhhhhhhhh.

    Keehee, ha!

  14. by Curt_Anderson on July 27, 2024 2:42 pm
Mr. Trump’s suggestion that Christians would not have to vote again if he is elected quickly spread across social media. Some argued that it was a threat that the 2024 election could be the nation’s last if he were to win and claimed it was further evidence of an authoritarian, anti-democratic bent he has displayed throughout his political candidacy.

Asked to clarify Mr. Trump’s intent, Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Mr. Trump’s campaign, said in a statement: “President Trump was talking about uniting this country and bringing prosperity to every American, as opposed to the divisive political environment that has sowed so much division and even resulted in an assassination attempt.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, Trump promised to be a dictator from Day One, and that there'd be a bloodbath if he ain't elected. We know. We know...

I can't decide if you TDSers believe he said those things but it seems likely that most moderate and independent common sense voters know it's just horsepucky.

As Sonny Bono wrote, The Beat goes on. Bahaha

TDS is past its shelf date. Try sumpthin new, if you can.

I'm sure you "feel" that way. I appear to be angry at dikeads. Like you. So I'm sure you get butthurt all the time. fukking "delicate" "man".

And you know what? I saved people's lives when you were being a leach on society.

  19. by oldedude on July 28, 2024 7:17 pm
od: Why would he tell his supporters that they wouldn't have to ever vote again when obviously if a presidential election is held in 2028, a Democratic nominee will be running against him?

Because, assuming he wins, he can't run in 2028? Did you ever think of that? He's served two terms. I might add to this, it sounds like he's already planning to move aside, much to the chagrin of the lying sack of s**t dim party who doesn't have anything to run on except for scare tactics and lies.

I'm really sorry to say, that's what you get for using only your "media" for answers. They're not telling you stuff because right now, they're worse than the Venezuelan government several years ago. And that's coming from very scared (former) Venezuelan citizens. They see exactly what's happening and they are really scared. They loved their country, and still do, but now they're US citizens (or working on it) because they hate what happened to it.

  20. by Curt_Anderson on July 28, 2024 7:45 pm
    OD,
I know you have an explanation as to what Trump really meant about not voting after four years. But even Republicans don't agree.

Senator Tom Cotton says Trump’s ‘you won’t have to vote anymore’ comment was him ‘obviously making a joke’. If that's a joke, it's no knee slapper.

I know this, it is just another weird comment by Donald Trump that forces his minions to try and explain and cover for him. For Harris and the Democrats it's another chance to paint Trump as a would-be dictator or as JD Vance once called him, "America's Hitler".

  21. by oldedude on July 28, 2024 8:15 pm
Did you get this on your "good little german thought 'daily?'" because I read it on the sheeple network. You need some new work on your comedy.

  22. by Indy! on July 28, 2024 8:59 pm

Did the leach on society just call me a leach on society? May I remind you who's life is subsidized by the US govt 100% and who's life is mine?

  23. by oldedude on July 28, 2024 10:24 pm
You're nothing more than a failed cartoon- trained "artist" that couldn't pass the comic book course, and lived off of welfare and "friends" that you've "used" the rest of your life.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on July 29, 2024 3:24 am

Senator Tom Cotton says Trump’s ‘you won’t have to vote anymore’ comment was him ‘obviously making a joke’. If that's a joke, it's no knee slapper.

    Of course it's a joke.

    pb's concluding two things:

    1. Moderate and independent common sense voters know Trump and this'll come to nuthin. Ace actual, real journalist Selena Zeto observed, in the 016 campaign, that MAGAs take Trump seriously but not literally but bonkers TDS TrumpHaters take him literally but not seriously. This is same old, same old.
    2. In their hearts, people like the Curt ilk know that Kammy is going to be a disaster. That moderate and independent voters will figure out that she's waaaaaaay to progressive to be a successful President and that she'll lose everywhere common sense rules.

I think Curt is just joshin when he purports to take this seriously.

  25. by Ponderer on July 29, 2024 7:01 am

Indy!, don't you love how stupid od's "insults" are and how asinine and flailingly desperate to hurt you he looks making them? 'Cuz that's all he's got?

You can always know when you made a salient and on-target point in a discussion with him when that's what he finally comes back at you with.

You can pretty much always paraphrase his insults as meaning, "Well I've got nothing intelligent to contradict that fact with. But I don't want to let you know that, so...".

That's how we've been taking them for years.

  26. by HatetheSwamp on July 29, 2024 7:06 am

Wow. po attacking and demeaning someone who's not pb. I'm gonna mark this date in my calendar!

  27. by Ponderer on July 29, 2024 7:42 am

Oh you're still my Favorite, Bill. Don't worry your pretty little MAGA-hatted head over it.

  28. by Indy! on July 29, 2024 12:05 pm

OD's obsessions are his real life passions imho, Pondy. The constant sexualization of children is pretty telling that he has some serious mental issues that can't be resolved by lashing out at the groups of peoples he hates on this board. He needs professional help.

"Well.... Let's see. You wanted to burn down police stations (with an unknown number of people in them)." -olde dude

That's a lie. There is only one police station that I ever supported the burning of, and that was after the fact and it was known to be unoccupied. I have never supported the burning of any other police station other than that one.

"And you both (et al) were (and still are) wishing trumpster gets murdered." -olde dude

Actually, I don't wish that at all. Now that there's a really good chance that he will have to stand trial and be made responsible and have to pay for his wanton and vast criminality, I want him to live to a ripe old age in jail.

"Then there was that little thing on 10/7 where you wouldn't take the victims side until you were shamed into it," -olde dude

And that's just afucking lie. Fuckyou for being such a fuckingliar, olde dude.

  30. by Indy! on July 29, 2024 12:28 pm

He's on the wrong side of everything which only leaves lying as his only option. Then he wants us to believe he was in the military where they ramrod stuff like honesty and integrity into the recruits.

  31. by oldedude on July 29, 2024 1:28 pm

So you admit to it. Thank you for that. Do you know how did they confirm that? Did they go through the building and make sure all the cells were clear?

Actually, I don't wish that at all. Now that there's a really good chance that he will have to stand trial and be made responsible and have to pay for his wanton and vast criminality, I want him to live to a ripe old age in jail.

no. no. You relented only when shamed, indy, your "support mechanism" in this is even more of a liar and has NEVER blamed Hamas so he's really not a good one to have on your side.

I think he bought the pictures and videos of the bloodbath off the dark web, sat in her apartment and "relieved" herself with the snuff films.

  32. by Ponderer on July 29, 2024 3:18 pm

Oh valiant effort, od. Why do you think that continuing to lie somehow makes up for the lies that you lied in the first place?

I cited your lies. I pointed out what makes them lies. And they were lies. It's not my fault that you don't think the lies you told were lies. They are just lies.

  33. by Ponderer on July 29, 2024 3:19 pm

Forgive my oversight. I intended to again point out that you are a lying liar, olde dude.

Trump curiously has been telling his flock of obtuse kemnings at his rallies lately NOT to vote, and that he diesn't need any more votes because he already has enough votes. He's repeated that at numerous rallies.

You don't need to be clairvoyant to understand why he's been telling his voters that, and what this means for the November election.

    It's going to be pandamonium.

At least 70 pro-Trump conspiracists are election officials in key battleground counties — and they are poised to make a giant mess on Election Day

When election night comes in November, it will be up to thousands of local election officials to certify election results in their counties. Among those election officials are scores of Donald Trump supporters who believe his lies and conspiracies about stolen elections — and will be in prime position to act on those beliefs to try to aid his campaign in November.

In the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, Rolling Stone and American Doom identified at least 70 pro-Trump election conspiracists currently working as county election officials who have questioned the validity of elections or delayed or refused to certify results. At least 22 of these county election officials have refused or delayed certification in recent years.

Certification of election results is what legal experts consider a “ministerial task,” and one required by state and local law. But as Trump’s lies about the 2020 election have taken hold, Republicans nationwide have decided that certification provides them an opportunity to hear fraud allegations — and refuse to officially count their local votes. Republicans have refused to certify election results at least 25 times since Trump lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden.

“I think we are going to see mass refusals to certify the election” in November, says Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias. “Everything we are seeing about this election is that the other side is more organized, more ruthless, and more prepared.”

While refusals and delays of certification have not held up in court, in Georgia and Arizona, pro-Trump local election officials are seeking to make certification discretionary — lawsuits that are currently being decided by state judges — in order to give his campaign another method to challenge election results in November.

We know that you have never watched a nanosecond of a Trump rally.

LOL! There are NUMEROUS videos of your Lord and Master saying exactly that. I guess that Sean Hannity censored it. I don't know how else to explain why a self-described political junkie such as yourself wouldn't have already known about it.

Google it. Or wait until Sean Hannity is forced to address it, I guess.

If Trump were to win the presidency, he could not run in 2028 because of the two term rule. I found out at my dad's house that Fox is selling the two "consecutive" terms lie to their followers trying to convince them Trump is still eligible for another 2 terms.
