A survey by the Associated Press on Monday evening said she had received the endorsement of more than the 1,976 delegates needed to win the nomination in the first round of voting.
That means Ms Harris is on course to be crowned the party's standard bearer and take on Republican Donald Trump in November's presidential election.

It's amazing to me the degree of internal discipline there is within the, uh, cult. And, I do think cult is an apt metaphor for the way the Dem Party functions.
The question of 024 is, since Kammy has not been forced to make her case to voters to become the nominee, what will moderate and independent common sense voters think of her. We'll find out. But, Trump has a huuuuuuuuuge advantage in that way.
The smoke-filled room obviously still has absolutely control over the Party faithful.
