Indy said the boycott would not last. Wrong.

It was obvious to pb, from the beginning, that BL would never fully recover because it wasn't a boycott... because the Dylan Mulvaney fiasco wasn't a boycott. It provided consumers motivation to make a different choice.

    Funny. While I'm sure "JayzTwoCents" is a respected commentator up there in NE Alabama, peebs - here in the real world we like to deal in facts - not Fox... okay? Couple things...

    1) I couldn't care less about Budweiser - they make shitty beer. I could not tell you the last time I had a Bud Lite or any other Bud - but it was definitely somewhere in the teen/college era. So if Bud went out of biz? Fine with me.

    2) Secondly - Bud Lite might be sinking in the sales department - I don't know and "Jay" didn't bother to give us any actual FACTS in the 2 minutes of his video that I watched (he apparently did not know Disney has already bounced back from their... ahem... "boycott" 😂). However Budweiser the company? Doing just fine - nothing has changed. See graphic below - year over year - Bud still going strong as ever.

    3) Which tells us what? Since the only people who drink Bud are rednecks and rightwingers and they're "boycotting" Bud Lite? What happened? Why isn't Bud going down the tubes? Simple - obviously the rightwing crowd has simply switched to regular Bud or Bud Zero or any of the other 100 shitty beers Bud makes. That way peebs can claim he's "boycotting Bud Lite" - but Bud Lime does NOT count - so he's drinking that now instead at the tractor pulls. 😉

    The article consisted the reading of portions of the abcNEWS article.

    Since the only people who drink Bud are rednecks and rightwingers and they're "boycotting" Bud Lite?

    Who, besides rednecks, drinks beer?

    Lot of people drink beer. Look at the sales numbers I just posted. So far as the "reading a news article thing"? Try it on someone like OD - might work on him. 😌

    I drink beer and I've been boycotting Budweiser for more than 50 years.

    I could never understand why people would walk into a bar or up to a concession stand and order the worst tasting "beer" on the planet time after time after time when there were usually a MINIMUM of 5-10 other beers available at the same place for the same price.

    As you know advertising works. When the hapless customer makes it to the front of the line and the person behind the bar asks "what will it be?", Bud (by virtue of repetition) is often the first brand name that pops into their heads.

    Absolutely - have to hand to Bud when it comes to advertising. They have been the leaders when it comes to beer for sure (the one misstep mentioned above beside). They (usually) make pretty clever and memorable commercials and they are ubiquitous every on the planet - especially places selling beer like sporting events and concerts. We're seeing more of their product placements in movies as well - the Star Trek movie reboot had a Bud Lite commercial in it.
