Let me just say this about that and let me make this perfectly clear. I voted for Haley in the Pennsylvania primary. I won't vote for Trump under any circumstances. Still, Trump's only real problem in 024 is that, in the primaries, 20% of GOP voters are voting for Haley.

IMO, Trump's too much of a narcissist to pick a strong personality, especially a female, to be his Veep.

OTOH, if he's convinced that he needs Haley to win?...

I'm remembering 1980. Bush 1 gave Reagan about as much a run for his money for the GOP nomination as Haley did Trump in 024. Reagan invited Bush to join the ticket. They became the Dream Team, leading a united party to the polls. FYI, I voted for Carter.

    I doubt she would be the running mate. As far as I know, she hasn’t even endorsed him. Trump will choose a supplicant.

    I agree that it's unlikely but I was stunned when Reagan and Bush made their deal.

    The way I remember it, Bush was forced on Reagan by the GOP. They hated each other - legend has it Bush was never once invited to the White House by the Reagans. When Reagan was forced to endorse Bush for his successor as he was leaving office, he purposely mispronounced Bush's name as "George Bosh". 😂

    I'm not aware that anyone had the clout to force anything on Reagan by then. I have no doubt that the two men were adversaries. I always understood it to be a marriage of convenience.

    You've obviously never seen Fahrenheit 9/11. There's video of some corporate titan telling Reagan to hurry up and finish his speech while he was in the middle of the speech. The fatcat had to be somewhere else and Ronnie was stretching things out too long for him.

    That was PRESIDENT Reagan - not candidate or governor Reagan. He was giving a presidential speech to a large crowd and the guy told him to speed it up. Reagan did.
