It's today, gang. 3/20/24...

... the PUBLIC hearing Hunter EFFINdemanded.

pb has several predictions:

1. Hunter won't appear for the hearing Hunter taunted House GOPs to provide for him.

2. In the end, House GOPs will provide a ton of circumstantial evidence that points to the conclusion that Joe Biden’s family is a Crime Family.

3. Evidence produced will be sufficient indict Hunter Biden and Jim Biden... and one other family member who would be designated as an unindicted co-conspirator... but Joe Biden’s highly politicized DOJ won't investigate the evidence.

4. HouseGOPs will not impeach that "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

Note: Predictions 2 and 3 and 4 are what pb's been saying since this silly Swamp dance began.

Is the hearing happening now? Will it be aired on any of the networks or cable channels?

I'm watching it now on YouTube on the AP channel. It started shortly after 10 Eastern.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 9:27 am

Nuthin new... to me. It's probably mostly all new to you.

So far, I nailed all my predictions.

  7. by Curt_Anderson on March 20, 2024 9:33 am
It’s not on FOX or some of those other right wing news channels!

  8. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 9:41 am

Sorry. I know what a faithful Fox News watcher you are.

BTW, one of the GOP congressmen played the famous "sonofabitch" Joe Biden video, just before 12:30 EDT. Good times!

  9. by Curt_Anderson on March 20, 2024 10:10 am
I caught a bit of it on a Fox News newsfeed. a Republican I believe Smith with his name was pontificating and questioning Tony Bobinski. I will paraphrase the interview.

The congressman said that Hunter, Biden, in testimony said that his father was no way involved with his business. Is that true Mr. Bobinski? Bobinski answered “No, that is a blatant lie.” The congressman, then asked Bobinski if he could give some examples of how Joe Biden was involved in his son‘s business. Bobinski said that he could. The Congressman asked him to give those examples

But rather than give any examples, Bobinski posed some questions: “why would an elderly man fly all the way across the country to attend the Milken convention which was held next to the Davos convention at 10:45 at night talk to me for 45 minutes about what I do and about our families?

At that point the video cut off for me. If I caught the gist of the Republicans case against Joe Biden, he doesn’t even qualify a circumstantial evidence.

  10. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 10:21 am

    Curt,

I have not heard anything like that. In fact, Bobulinski has seemed to me to be impatient with the GOPs, repeatedly providing more detailed and specific information than they ask for.

  11. by Curt_Anderson on March 20, 2024 10:32 am
I haven't seen any reporting on the testimony yet. Maybe later today will see if Bobulinski's allegations and claims are reported skeptically or not. There is another GOP witness who is testifying from jail. He's in jail on unrelated financial fraud charges.

My prediction is that The House Oversight Committee will quietly give up the impeachment ghost. They probably will claim they have reams of evidence against Joe Biden and after awhile complain that the "Biden DOJ" failed to pursue it.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 10:54 am

Quietly?, Curt? When have you known politicians to do anything quietly? Nevertheless, I'm inclined to agree that we're very near to the end of the line... and, perhaps, actually there.

The GOPs have demonstrated that Joe's a liar about his involvement in the Family's business dealings. There's lots of powerful circumstantial evidence that that "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool is, precisely, a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap." Still, that's not impeachable.

And, those Dems?, bless their hearts, got nuthin but Trump Trump Trump Trump... TRUMP!

  13. by Curt_Anderson on March 20, 2024 11:14 am
What did Democrats say about Trump?

  14. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 11:16 am

Essentially, Trump's bad... anything not to make this about Joe.

As I noted last time, it is a good day for the antiSwamp.

    HtS,
This Republican-led hearing is the congressional equivalent of the age-old question: "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

  16. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 11:43 am

    Bullfernerner, Curt.

Joe's a busted liar many times over who's never offered an explanation for his lies when the reasonable assumption is that he's lying is an effort to hide serious crimes that he's committed.

I'm happy to have you offer an explanation for his lies that doesn't involve the covering up of crimes. I don't have that good enough ability to imagine.

Congress is mandated by the Constitution to provide oversight of the Executive Branch. That's all it's doing. There's nuthin about this hearing that unnecessary. In fact, until Joe and the Family provides an adequate explanation of the lies, the House would be justified in holding a hearing a week about the lies.

For myself, I'd be very happy for the House to... as failed presidential candidates do... "suspend" the Impeachment Inquiry until useful evidence is available.

But, your Swamp being what it is, I'm not counting on it.

Both parties will raise gobs of money off of today's hearing.

For myself, I'd be very happy for the House to... as failed presidential candidates do... "suspend" the Impeachment Inquiry until useful evidence is available. ---HtS

Marjory Taylor Greene introduced H.Res.57 - "Impeaching Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States, for abuse of power by enabling bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors" on Biden's first day as president. The Republicans have been plotting and pining for his impeachment ever since.

If the Republicans haven't found any useful evidence by now, I don't think they ever will.

  18. by HatetheSwamp on March 20, 2024 12:28 pm

MTG is the GOP equivalent of the Dems' AOC. Nuthin more. Nuthin less. Those head cases thrive in both parties.

If the Republicans haven't found any useful evidence by now, I don't think they ever will.

My guess is that, unless a truth-telling insider very close to the "dithering and diminished" one comes forward, Joe's safe. That's the great thing about our constitutional republic... and by the truth that the GOP is the home of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freethinking.

GOPs will never impeach "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" without compelling evidence... which ain't likely to be had.

Who saw this coming besides me in my comment #11 above?

Comer suggests impeachment vote not ‘best path’ on Biden probe
House Oversight and Accountability Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) suggested the impeachment vote against President Biden may not be the “best path” and said he instead thinks criminal referrals will be the way to go.

“I believe that the best path to accountability is criminal referrals,” Comer told Newsmax hosts Thursday.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that criminal referrals require that the parties making the accusations provide some evidence of a crime to prosecutors, not merely suspicions and innuendoes.

  20. by HatetheSwamp on March 22, 2024 2:15 pm

You drop Fox News for Newsmax now? How do you keep up with your Holy Trinity?

pb disagrees with Comer. The "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool is a busted liar... about sumpthin that points to corruption... and FARA and, as Tony Bobulinski said, RICO.

The Congress has an obligation to exercise oversight of the Executive Branch.

pb's nailed this. This is what pb hates about the Swamp. The impeachment inquiry should always have been about the inquiry, not the remote possibility of an impeachment.

Comer lost sight of what he was supposed to be doing. GOPs ain't lynch mob Dems. Well, maybe, Comer is.
