How are the Dems defending the "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap?"

Not by defending Joe...

They claim that Trump is worse.

THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR THE ANTISWAMP!

HatetheSwamp!!!!!

Oh, and based on Hur's statement, President Joe Biden is absolutely and precisely a "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

    HtS,
Being on the west coast I tuned in late. From what I’ve seen, at best the Republicans are scoring no more points than the Democrats. I’d say the Democrats are doing better and Trump in particular is looking worse. Congress is holding the Mar a Lago documents trial, Trump wanted to avoid.

Also the Republicans are attempting to denigrate Biden’s memory implying that he is senile. That is undermined by Hur repeatedly saying “I don’t recall” et cetera to various questions about his report. Also Hur is rather evasive. When asked if he wrote something in his report he takes the passive voice: “that language does appear in the report”.

Clearly, you need to bone up on the meaning of the Kierkegaardian assertion, "subjectivity is truth."

We all bring preferences and prejudices to every moment of our lives. And, you are among the majority of SS participants who make no efforts to check your prejudices.

Of course you think that Dems are kicking butt.

What's going on here is that with few exceptions, the members of the Committee have no interest in discovering truth. They merely want to make political points. And, that makes pursuers of truth HatetheSwamp.

My bet is that Hur was told to put it in the report (whether he liked it or not) and did so like a good german. It doesn't matter who hired him initially. It's who he works for now. He was told to do this because parts of the DNC know pedojoe is a liability to the party and even if elected, he won't last the four years and then we have Kammie. That's going to take them a long time to get rid of.

The fact the DNC and a lot of parts and senior folks in the party want him gone is a fact. If he should be? I'd say yes, but I don't like him. At all. The issue is his own people are talking about it now, and they're losing votes daily. To me, it's a matter of losing a battle, and going long term.

    HtS & OD,
Thanks for confirming my view that the Democrats won this one!

How do we know the Republicans were (curses) foiled again? HtS wouldn't be saying that committee members had "no interest in discovering the truth" if the Republicans won their own hearing. OD wouldn't be saying Hur is "like a good German" if the Republicans scored more points than the Democrats.

I expect that Trump will be demonstrating his displeasure with the Republicans sooner rather than later.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on March 12, 2024 12:32 pm

I honestly don't know what the purpose of the hearing is... but if it is to see if Hur will stand by his description of the "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" as a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a bad memory")," the GOPs, in fact, did win...

...if it's to prove that Trump is at least as despicable as the Doddering Old Fool is demented, then the Dems won.

Either way, all both sides want to do is score political points...

And, when the Hunter Biden version of this hearing happens, Curt will, again, play the role of the Soviet judge in Olympic Figure Skating, or boxing,... truth be d@nged. Nuthin useful to the constitutional republic will be accomplished.

    HatetheSwamp!

    HtS,
Really, you don’t know what the purpose of the hearing was? I realize it was hard to tell. But it was part of the Republicans impeachment investigation.

In what way is it a part of the impeachment campaign?

GOP investigators hope Tuesday's hearing with Special Counsel Robert Hur will refocus the Biden impeachment narrative on the president's shortcomings, even as the probe has failed to find conclusive evidence of impeachable offenses.

    Punchbowl News? C'mon man.

Correct me if I'm wrong, a shortcoming ain't cause for impeachment.

My guess was that the political agenda of the GOP was to show America that Joe's a Doddering Old Fool... with the 024 election in mind.

I forget, HtS, what is the holy trinity of news sources that you automatically reject? Or perhaps, it would be easier for you to list the news sites that you consider credible.

But if the Republicans were not looking to build their case for impeachment of Joe Biden, I don't know what the hell they were hoping to accomplish.

(Axios)The top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee opened Tuesday's hearing with former special counsel Robert Hur by playing a super-cut of gaffes and memory lapses by former President Trump.

Why it matters: Re-focusing the attention on Trump's mental faculties and criminal liability is central to Democrats' strategy for countering Hur's findings about Biden's poor memory, which Republicans see as a potent line of attack.

Driving the news: The Democratic montage begins with Trump boasting of having "one of the great memories of all time," before cutting to videos of the former president forgetting or mixing up several names.

You seem to think that a misspeak (57 states in the US) is the same as dementia. It is very much different. Turning to shake hands with a person that does not exist (and looking all over the stage for them) is part of dementia. It tells me the mind was set up for "an" action which didn't exist this time. It could have been in another place. That synapse fired because the brain was set up to look what to do next. To compare the two is very much an amateur move. They should have given up when they were ahead.

Like your "legal" "knowledge" you should learn much more before you try to school people that have been involved with dementia and had to raise their parents again as the parents digressed.

Having a family history of dementia does not make you or HtS medical experts.

  14. by oldedude on March 12, 2024 4:01 pm
You reading it third person and not knowing WTF you're talking about is less credible. In addition to the doctors' that answer questions forever, every family that goes through this, there are a huge number of support groups families have to support their family members. I doubt if ANYTHING they talk about would make any sense to you at all. You haven't seen it. Experienced it. None of it's any sense of reality for you. Kind of like the human trafficking issue. It's soooo far out of your reality, you can't imagine in your worst nightmares what these people go through. Your 2.3 children, lily white lifestyle, White privilege, white picket fence, and a dog is all you've seen your entire life. Mommy was June Cleaver, which is great. Except it doesn't allow you think there's anything different in the world.

The Hur Report was revealed today! A disaster for Biden, a two tiered standard of justice. Artificial Intelligence was used by them against me in their videos of me. Can’t do that Joe!

I told you that Trump would be demonstrating his displeasure, not to mention his lack of logical consistency. He says it was supposedly "a disaster for Biden". Biden wasn't charged, so not much of a disaster for Biden. Plus one of Trump's former Mar-a-Lago employees and "Witness #5", Brian Butler, just spilled the beans on Trump. Now, that's a disaster for Trump's classified documents defense.

The Democrats presented a montage of well-known Trump bloopers and gaffes. Trump says they were AI generated. Even his courtroom depositions? Was that Trump hologram testifying?

There's nuthin impeachable in what Hur and the GOPs exposed. But,...

They might be making the case that Joe's, precisely, a "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool... who should not be reelected. And, that he's also an EFFINliar.

It was a good day for the antiSwamp. HatetheSwamp!

Contrary to everything the sheep and little germans believe. Not everything with the GOP focuses on impeachment, unlike the dims against trumpster. So as the dims are waiting for D-Day, the GOP is working on winning a thousand little skirmishes hacking away at the left's resistance movement that threaten families and invade families.

Right now, it's just as effective to show pedojoe can't run the country. Show people they're paying more for groceries and gas. For all the attention on gas prices and housing, more than two-thirds of voters say inflation has hit them hardest through higher food prices, according to a November 2023 survey by Yahoo Finance/Ipsos.[1] That’s more than 50 percentage points higher than any other category. That cities are less safe, that the "once safe" metro areas are now scenes of "Escape from New York." And the border that pedojoe set up as a modern "freedom train" is now being used by ISIS (et.al.) players [2].

I'm hoping pedojoe gets the message about mid november. I want to watch the dims scatter because all they have left is kammie. And no backup.
