“ The devil went down to Georgia he was looking for some votes to steal. He was in a bind cause he was way behind and he was willing to make a deal.”

For those who Really want to know what’s happening in the GA case and what the indictment is about and what it means, here’s Teri’s update. This is not recommended reading for Trump voters, so Hate and old dude need not click on the link.

Teri gives us the information we not only want to know but need to know!!

Like she says, “Put on your nerd glasses for this one. We’re diving into the legal documents.” !!

Thanks, isle. I waste so much time on respected Harvard professors and that ilk. Getting the read from a dyed in the wool TDS wacko just broadens my horizons!

You do us all a service! You da man!

I told you, Hate, that Teri's report was not recommended for Trump voters and you of course are a Trump voter. It contains information, facts, and analysis that will upset you. You'd learn much that you would prefer not to know.

Just the point I made yesterday. OD and pb seek information to balance our subjectivity. You and po, especially, always pour gasoline on the fire of the preferences and prejudices that you bring with to every moment of your lives.

I think that our way is healthier. But, do your thing.

Teri gives us the legal aspects of the case and then we have noted American history Professor Richardson who shows how the history of the 14th amendment and how it applies to this case.

This is not recommended reading for Trump voters, so Hate and old dude need not click on the link. Here's an except from her Letters From An American site. see the link below.

"On August 14 an article forthcoming from the University of Pennsylvania Law Review by William Baude of the University of Chicago Law School and Michael S. Paulsen of the University of St. Thomas School of Law became available as a preprint. It argued that the third section of the Fourteenth Amendment is still in effect (countering arguments that it applied only to the Civil War era secessionists), that it is self-executing (meaning the disqualification of certain people is automatic, much as age limits or residency requirements are), and that Trump and others who participated in trying to steal the 2020 presidential election are disqualified from holding office.

This paper was a big deal because while liberal thinkers have been making this argument for a while now, Baude and Paulsen are associated with the legal doctrine of originalism, an approach to the law that insists the Constitution should be understood as those who wrote its different parts understood them. That theory gained traction on the right in the 1980s as a way to push back against what its adherents called “judicial activism,” by which they meant the Supreme Court’s use of the law, especially the Fourteenth Amendment, to expand the rights of minorities and women. One of the key institutions engaged in this pushback was the Federalist Society, and both Baude and Paulson are associated with it.

Now the two have made a 126-page originalist case that the Fourteenth Amendment prohibits Trump from running for president. Their interpretation is undoubtedly correct. But that interpretation has even larger implications than they claim."

Once again..."This is not recommended reading for Trump voters, so Hate and old dude need not click on the link."

    You do ???

OK then, I guess maybe you might want to read the posts from Terry and Heather.

You should also try reading Marcy Wheeler's "Empty Wheel". While She might be a little above your head I think whatever you can get out of it will help you immensely in balancing your subjectivity.

Here's the difference. If I want to be preached at, I'll just break down and go to church.

You’ve never understood the meaning of truth, Hate. You still think subjectivity is truth. Even when you say you want to “balance your subjectivity” it is meaningless. That’s just another example of one of your own subjective beliefs about yourself which has nothing to do with truth. Repeat after me...”Truth is that which conforms to reality” !!

For you, true facts will always seem to have a left leaning bias. Why is that? Well, it’s simply because they are true.

You are afraid to read anything from Heather, Teri, or Marcy Wheeler’s site because they present true facts. Heck you are even afraid to read the indictments explaining what Trump is being charged with calling them “political porn” without even knowing what they say. LoL !!

By the way, I sort of don’t blame you from staying away from Marcy’s site since I honestly don’t think you’d be able to understand the legal technicalities that are discussed there. For those who do understand, Marcy and her contributors certainly give the more astute among us plenty to think about and consider.
