Democratic strategist David Axelrod said the Green Party bid by academic Cornel West could draw votes away from President Biden, leading to a victory for former President Trump.

“In 2016, the Green Party played an outsized role in tipping the election to Donald Trump. Now, with Cornel West as their likely nominee, they could easily do it again. Risky business,”...

Axelrod compared West to 2016 Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who some blamed for splitting the vote for Hillary Clinton in key electoral states, potentially causing Clinton’s electoral loss to former President Trump.

Stein won more votes than Trump’s margin of victory in Wisconsin and Michigan, states which would have tipped the outcome of the election if Clinton had won them.

This is where the Dems are in deep doodoo. MAGAs can't wait to vote in 024. Except for Good Germans, no Dems are excited about voting for the Doddering Old Fool and many Dems are pi$$ed that the Party Bosses are foisting him on them.

How many common sense Dems either won't vote or will pick an alternative?

by Indy! on July 9, 2023 12:23 pm Ds don't care about losing to Trump. If they did they would have taken steps to accomplish something that would make people want to vote for them. Did you guys see that article about the barbershop in Michigan where they asked everybody why they didn't vote for Hillary? They went into black neighborhoods in Michigan to ask black voters why they didn't show up at the polls in 2016 like they usually did to vote D. They all said the same thing - that they didn't feel like their vote mattered. That if they voted D nothing ever changed so what was the point of voting D if they were getting the same with the Rs. Hillary didn't even bother visiting some of the states that traditionally vote D - she just assumed they would continue to vote the same. Biden has done the same thing - assumed certain votes automatically belong to him. And like you say, the dims don't GAF about minorities...or their jobs that actually pay and have medical care as part of the package...
