AOC challenged Ted Cruz... It's a shame when people don't know anything about their world. So much for a Boston U "education."

In a recent Twitter encounter, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) speechless after giving her a brief history of the Democratic party. It all started when Cruz criticized the NAACP’s travel advisory in Florida, calling it “bizarre” and “utterly dishonest”. The organization claimed that the state is “hostile to Black Americans”. Cruz then mentioned how the NAACP had done extraordinary work during the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 1960s, but has since lost its way.

AOC jumped in and challenged Cruz to “tell people what happened to the parties after that”, referring to the debunked theory of the parties switching. Cruz was more than happy to take her up on that challenge and set the record straight in a series of tweets. He reminded AOC that the Democratic party founded the KKK, wrote Jim Crow laws, and filibustered the Civil Rights Act. Today, the party still stands in the way of school choice and police protection, both of which disproportionately affect black lives.

On the contrary, the Republican party was founded to oppose slavery and elected Abraham Lincoln, who won the Civil War and ended slavery. Republicans also voted for the Civil Rights Act in higher percentages than Democrats who were staunchly racist. Under the Trump administration, African-American unemployment and poverty levels were the lowest they’ve ever been in history. Senator Cruz even managed to pass the largest expansion of federal school choice which extends to K-12 education.

Not only that, but the Democratic party has a history of supporting open borders that have led to the deaths and brutal assaults of thousands of Hispanics. AOC seems to ignore their suffering and cannot find her White pantsuit to cry about it. Let’s not forget that the current sitting President, Joe Biden, in 2011 gave a flowery eulogy for an “Exalted Cyclops” of the KKK. The Democratic party has thrived on stirring up racial tensions and making false claims.

About that meme you posted above...the only other admitted Republican voter here is HtS. He insists that Ketanji Brown Jackson isn't qualified to be on the Supreme Court and that she is an example of affirmative action. That doesn't match the meme's depiction of conservatives' supposed attitude toward Blacks.

Ketanji Brown Jackson graduated from Harvard in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude. From 1992 to 1993, Jackson worked as a staff reporter and researcher for Time magazine, attending Harvard Law School shortly afterwards. She was a supervising editor of the Harvard Law Review and graduated in 1996 with a Juris Doctor, cum laude. She then worked as a lawyer in the private and public sectors eventually becoming a judge. That looks like a qualifying resume to me.

    WHAT!!!!!?

I'd love for you to quote him posting any of that.

pb did note that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" promised to nominate a black woman to the Court. Brown Jackson is on the Court, not because Clouseau believes she's the most qualified, but because she is black and female. She's a diversity nominee. Period. That's, as po'd say, EFFIN fact! It's indisputable. Undeniable!

pb also noted that her inability to understand what a woman is, is absolutely laughable. pb said that that question was justified. We all know that it's likely that questions about what a woman is will be settled by the Supreme Court.

pb's been right about Ketanji Brown Jackson from the beginning. Bang on right!

I know we all look alike, just like the little brown people to the racist left, but believe it or not, we're two different people. With different ideas and life experiences. I know the left "hates" being lumped in with others that it doesn't look if you're associated with, but that's exactly what the left does to us. You're a consistent violator of looking at people as just objects, not as human beings.

And yes, we find the lefts' attitude towards the little brown people not too different from those of plantation owners in your own party. All I know about jackson is that she's a libtard under the soto mayer brand. Ginsberg was at least thoughtful and you know where she stood. Like Burnie, that's something I admire about them both.

You wonder why we say you're a goose-stepping brown shirt? This is exactly why.

I love how the MAGA Republican party today touts the hell outta how fair and accepting their party was before they decided to inherit the racists in this country that abandoned the Democratic party when they signed on to equal rights in the 60's.

The MAGA Republican party loves acting like it's still the 1960's civil rights era when the parties were flipped around from what they once were while completely ignoring the heinous and racist atrocities that their party cavalierly commits against minorities today.

The modern MAGA Republican party is nothing like what it was before the 60's.

The modern Democratic party is nothing like what it was before the 60's.

The Democratic party has improved itself and become the party of democracy and diversity that attracts all minorities.

The MAGA Republican party has bastardized itself and become the party of authoritarianism, racist white supremacy, and wanton bigotry against minorities.

But oh yeah! Back in Abraham Lincoln's time...............

    🙄

  8. by oldedude on June 1, 2023 8:29 am
Sheeple are just as bad. You sheep are doing the exact same thing. So you opened the subject, it's free for anyone to use. The dim sheeple want white folk to make "reparations" to black folks only (because blacks are too stoopid to make it on their own)(see meme above). Leaving out all the other races abused by the limousine liberals of their time. The reasons for these reparations were caused by the dim party. That's why it keeps getting brought up. YOU initiated using that reasoning. Deal with it.

Let's look at the more recent issues.

Let’s not forget that the current sitting President, pedojoe , in 2011 gave a flowery eulogy for an “Exalted Cyclops” of the KKK. pedojoe is also responsible for repealing the trumpster EO that helped inner city community colleges teach directly relatable job skills for minority youth. pedojoe canned that program.

Or the dims sheep defunding police. One of your favorites. Or not charging minorities if they kill people (but charging people that kill minorities, even in self-defense). This by it's very nature leaves minority neighborhoods being victims of the gangland groups. Especially Asian elderly, but making their streets extremely violent.

The Democratic party has thrived on stirring up racial tensions and making false claims. The whole CRT issue is about separating people into classes of races, all set up to either hate others, or hate themselves. That is racist.

Not only that, but the Democratic party has a history of supporting open borders that have led to the deaths and brutal assaults of thousands of Hispanics. The dim sheeple seem to ignore their suffering and cannot find their White pantysuits to cry about it.

I'm sure you (as usual) will take a few words out of this and to argue the entire post (which is what you did above) is invalid. This is taught in "Rules for Radicals," but you don't read your own material, so I'm sure you don't know or understand why you do it.

Od probably doesn’t even know who this false claim was about...He just read it on one of his right wing propaganda sites... Biden never eulogized any “Exalted Cyclops” of the KKK.

I wonder if od even knows what an "Exalted Cyclops" of the KKK is. LoL !!

Actually, I didn't know what the hierarchy of the KKK is, Thanks for letting me know you're quite familiar with it. It proves my point.
BTW Robert Byrd and he was a grand wizard.
Along with the Civil War, this has been rewritten sort of like the Chinese did it whenever the Dynesty changed. curt falls for the same bullshit, and of course, you're all to willing to be rewriting to your "history" noncomprehension.

Also part of the Cruz remarks.

"Today, the Dem part filibusters school choice – trapping millions of Black kids in failing schools. – Today, the Dem party pushes abolishing the police, which results in many more Black lives murdered. – Today, every Dem senator voted against my bill to stop DC from throwing 40% of Black kids out of schools bc of vax mandate," Cruz continued.

"Today, we produced the lowest African-American unemployment EVER, under the Trump economic boom. – Today, we produced the lowest African-American poverty levels EVER, under the Trump economic boom," Cruz continued.

"Today, (in 2017) I passed the largest expansion of federal school choice EVER (making 529 plans cover K-12), over the objection of every single Senate Dem," he said.

"Also, just two years ago, the Dem governor of Virginia had put the photo of A MAN DRESSED AS A KKK KLANSMAN on his personal yearbook page.

"And to add to all that, the Dem party aggressively supports open borders – which has led to the deaths and brutal assaults of thousands of Hispanics, and @aoc somehow can’t seem to find her White pantsuit to cry over their suffering," Cruz concluded.

These are all racist refusals to support any of your "little brown people." Regardless of what you say about burning down the police station, you still believe in the same racist attitudes you did a century and a half ago. So no matter what you say about this, you are not to be believed. You're a liar and I'm sure you still "giggle" about the police buildings being burned down, along with the small family businesses. You, like curt, have ZERO empathy for them. They only time you say anything is when you can make some political point. Otherwise, you're happy to see them kill each other.

So welcome to the party of Jim Crow, using dogs and fire hoses on blacks peacefully protesting. Of carpet baggers and selling the little brown people off to truck farming. None of that has changed.

  16. by islander on June 2, 2023 6:18 am
Once again od made a fool of himself. He really needs to get his info from sources other than right wing phony news sites and MAGA propaganda links.

The amusing part of this is, by bringing up Robert Byrd, od unwittingly proved Ponderer’s point that is, ”The modern Democratic party is nothing like what it was before the 60's” and ” The modern Republican party is nothing like what it was before the 60's (Eisenhower's party) and I’ll bet od doesn’t even know why!

In the first part of his career, Byrd was a good example of the “good ol’ boys” southern conservative Democrats that went back to the 1850‘s, the very same Democrats that Ponderer was talking about... But Byrd changed his ways later in his life and apologized for what he had thought and done earlier and was nothing like he was before. Those old southern Democrats were like their precursors the Confederates, those Democrats had the same beliefs and goals.

But the Republican party also changed during that time to take the place of the old Democrats, and they became the new “Confederates” that we see today. That’s why, when then Democratic President Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act in 1964, he said to his aid, by signing this, we have just turned the south over to the Republicans for decades to come. of course he was quite right, that’s exactly what happened!

Listen to the new Republican’s rhetoric and goals... They’re just like those of the leaders of the Confederacy!

  17. by Ponderer on June 2, 2023 6:25 am

It hurts my heart that you think ill of me, olde dude. Especially just because I talk the truth.

But you in no way at all countered any of my points. Just so you know.

  18. by Ponderer on June 2, 2023 6:58 am

    , Isle!

  19. by oldedude on June 2, 2023 10:17 am

The modern Democratic party is nothing like what it was before the 60's.

What efforts have been lead by the dim party for education and job placements?

The Selma to Montgomery march was part of a series of civil rights protests that occurred in 1965 in Alabama, a Southern state with deeply entrenched racist policies lead by democratic voters and politicians. So welcome to the party of Jim Crow, using dogs and fire hoses on blacks peacefully protesting.
Today, the Dem part filibusters school choice – trapping millions of Black kids in failing schools. – Today, the Dem party pushes abolishing the police, which results in many more Black lives murdered. – Today, every Dem senator voted against my bill to stop DC from throwing 40% of Black kids out of schools bc of vax mandate," Cruz continued.

"Today, (in 2017) I passed the largest expansion of federal school choice EVER (making 529 plans cover K-12), over the objection of every single Senate Dem," he said.

"Today (2020), we produced the lowest African-American unemployment EVER, under the Trump economic boom." Cruz continued.

The Democratic party has improved itself and become the party of democracy and diversity that attracts all minorities.
12/5/22 Seventeen people were shot in Chicago this past weekend. Four of these individuals lost their lives. Tragically, this was just a normal weekend in the Windy City and many others, which are experiencing a spike in violent crime. And Black Americans are bearing the brunt of this violence.

The overall rate of gun violence reached a 28-year high last year with drastic increases in murders among Black men, according to an analysis of federal data conducted by the Wall Street Journal. Some of this is not new; since 1990, rates of gun-related homicide have been highest among Black men in their twenties. And yet, after the highs of the 1990s, homicide rates plummeted, especially for Black men. What we're seeing now is a reversal of that trend.

So what did the dims do? They decriminalized violent crime for the inner cities, making the inner-city black community scared of it's own people.

I had to take your questions and put them in order. apparently you and isle are too stupid to read.

Od ~ You’re wasting your time and our time here as well. "And" you are making yourself look and sound foolish to boot! Especially when you post nonsense like ”They [Democrats] decriminalized violent crime for the inner cities, making the inner-city black community scared of it's own people.”

Nobody has decriminalized violent crime in inner-cities or anywhere else. You know better than that.👎

And then you make childishly stupid claims like ”Today, the Dem party pushes abolishing the police”

You sound just you are a right wing propagandist spouting inflammatory lies.

How about your, ”"Today (2020), we produced the lowest African-American unemployment EVER, under the Trump economic boom.”

Do you think nobody can see through your nonsense? You should know better than to think Trump can claim credit for low unemployment rates that had been dropping steadily and precipitously since early in Obama’s presidency...Long before Trump even took office LoL !!

If you want to play those kinds of childish statistics games we could simply fire back. ”Black unemployment at lowest level ever recorded as US adds 253,000 jobs under President Biden” (this was just a couple months ago) 🤣

C’mon Old Dude, try to be a man and stop arguing and acting like a child !

  21. by oldedude on June 2, 2023 5:36 pm
Nobody has decriminalized violent crime in inner-cities or anywhere else. You know better than that.👎

They Wanted to Roll Back Tough-on-Crime Policies. Then Violent Crime Surged.
Four years ago, progressive prosecutors were in the sweet spot of Democratic politics. Aligned with the growing Black Lives Matter movement but pragmatic enough to draw establishment support, they racked up wins in cities across the country.

Today, a political backlash is brewing. With violent crime rates rising in some cities and elections looming, their attempts to roll back the tough-on-crime policies of the 1990s are increasingly under attack — from familiar critics on the right, but also from onetime allies within the Democratic Party.

And then you make childishly stupid claims like ”Today, the Dem party pushes abolishing the police”

ItalicsThese US cities defunded police: 'We're transferring money to the community'

But for cities that did intentionally pass cuts, some of the changes were significant. Portland, Oregon, cut $15m from its budget and disbanded a gun violence reduction unit and transit team that had both long been accused of over-policing Black communities. San Francisco officials pledged to divest $120m from police over two years with plans to invest in health programs and workforce training. Minneapolis is using police cuts to launch a mental health team to respond to certain 911 calls.

New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Baltimore and a dozen other cities have all also reduced police spending. And some of these cities are now demonstrating the impacts of their new budgets.

”"Today (2020), we produced the lowest African-American unemployment EVER, under the Trump economic boom.”

Take a look at the quote dikead. Then you'll see you can't/ won't read. Unless you lost track of years fantasying about muffy.

Whooo boy !!! Ya sure did some mighty fast backtracking from your original childish claims od!

Your revisions still need a lot of work if you intend to at least try to make some sort of serious point.

Also...Here’s another hint, if you can stop, or at least cut down on your silly schoolyard name calling and write more like a grown up, you’ll be able to do much better here.

But until then, you can take your Bullshit over there, WAY over there !! LoL !!

You may want to reread the post. I laied it out so you could understand it, like I do my two-year-old grandson. I didn't change the words. At all.

Please correct your cranial/rectal inversion. You're making yourself look stupider by saying that.

”I didn't change the words. At all.” ~ od

    These were your original words:

“They [Democrats] decriminalized violent crime for the inner cities”

    And:

“Today, the Dem party pushes abolishing the police”

You didn’t change those words because you cant edit your posts here, but after you found out how ridiculous your original claims were you tried to revise and modify them in your next post.

And you still don’t understand how silly it was for you to write, "Today (2020), we produced the lowest African-American unemployment EVER, under the Trump economic boom.” to show that African Americans fare better under Trump!! LoL

You now know that we could simply remind you that today, “”Black unemployment at lowest level ever recorded as US adds 253,000 jobs under President Biden”.

We all (except maybe you?) know that the president doesn’t really control the economy. If that were true it would mean that the Democrats beat the pants off Trump and Republicans in helping African Americans in the job market !!!

You still don't seem to grasp the history of the dramatic change that took place between the Democratic and Republican parties of the 1850's which explains how and why they evolved into what they are today.

Again, you're turning the truth in to what you want. The FACT says this was said in 2020 (key operative in the statement).

I'm NOT arguing with you. I'm saying that you're choosing to LIE about what was said. Which seems to match your "morals," which shift to your beliefs (ergo, your "morals" don't exist). We've gone through this a lot. It's useless to tell you that you're an amoral "delicate" "man" because you're comfortable with being amoral and a "delicate" "man." I just hope you didn't spawn any children that think like you. Amoral human beings that are the sociopaths and psychopaths of this world.

”The FACT says this was said in 2020 (key operative in the statement)”. ~ od

What you don’t understand is that I’m not now nor have I been arguing that it wasn’t said in 2020.

I showed you what was said in 2023 and how much lower (lowest in history) the black unemployment rate is under Biden than it was under Trump in 2020. I showed this to you in order to help you understand why it was foolish of you to think the president “controls” the economy, and why your 2020 unemployment stats did not help your erroneous assumption that the evolution of the Republican party and the Democratic party have not become something quite the opposite of what they were back the 1850’s.

If you studied American history you’d know that the southern Democrats used to be the conservative party fighting for a smaller, weaker Federal government, limiting voting rights, and the strengthening of state’s rights.

The Confederates wanted these very things in order to prevent the Federal government from abolishing slavery in their states, and they, also, saw the concept of Democracy as a flaw they favored an oligarchy. They, like the founding fathers did not believe all men should have equal rights since they were not really created equal. This is what the Confederates believed and were fighting for.

The Republicans at that time were more in tune with the spirit of Lincoln’s ideals which today are the ideals that the liberals, the Democrats of today, are fighting for, and it’s now the Republicans of today who are fighting for what their precursors, the Confederates and old southern Democrats were fighting for.

What you don’t understand is that I’m not now nor have I been arguing that it wasn’t said in 2020.

Way to change the subject and use your weasel words!👏

Because you ONLY chose to use the words you wanted to say and specifically deselected the words you didn't want brought up even after you were shown to be wrong, and say my statement was not true. So you're a LIAR again. This just shows the lengths you'll go to in your efforts to 1) look smarter than you are, 2) to save your fragile little ego the pain of admitting you're not perfect (this goes back to about three years old) and you feeling "less than" in usually your parents eyes), and 3) making sure you can best someone you are in competition with so you don't bruise what's left of that fragile, delicate ego of yours.

Oh, BTW, since you can't follow, po said that anything before the 1960's doesn't count. So your bullsht about the war of northern aggression was a wasted POS.

I gave you (y'all) recent examples of where the dims HAVE been the racist party, stonewalling the GOP in supporting minority rights.

So what you're not saying is that the GOP started the great unemployment stats!

The other side of the issue those NOT looking for jobs was also up.
Persons marginally attached to the labor force went up from Apr to May by 28% (1,480k to 1,508k).
Discouraged (those not looking anymore) went up 58% (364K to 422K).

These numbers also play into the pedojoe "work numbers." Admittingly, it's a numbers game that you have to watch for, because everyone skews the stats using this.

You haven't given an example. Just a lot of disconnected and disjointed thoughts.

    So I'll ask you again:

"Because you ONLY chose to use the words you wanted to say and specifically deselected the words you didn't want brought up even after you were shown to be wrong," ~ od

    Now give an actual example.

”Black unemployment at lowest level ever recorded as US adds 253,000 jobs under President Biden”.

Which is what I said before. You're an "artist" right?

I guess I'll have to ask you again:

"Because you ONLY chose to use the words you wanted to say and specifically deselected the words you didn't want brought up even after you were shown to be wrong," ~ od

    Now give an actual example.

Curt- back on track, sorry.

I think she IS an example of affirmative action, as pedojoe said she was. Is she qualified? dunno. I haven't really gone in to that much. She's in the SCOTUS. So I can bitch about it or live with it. I choose to not engage because she's there. I have no power to get her out.

We're also talking about Condi Rice, whom the left hates with a passion. American diplomat, political scientist, civil servant, and professor who served as the 66th United States Secretary of State and the 20th United States National Security Advisor under President George W. Bush123. She was the first female African-American Secretary of State and the first woman to serve as National Security Advisor. She is the current Director of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where she was also the first woman and first African American to serve as provost.

Rice was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and grew up while the South was racially segregated. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Denver and her master's degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame. In 1981, she received a PhD from the School of International Studies at the University of Denver.

While Rice ultimately did not become a professional pianist, she still practices often and plays with a chamber music group. She accompanied cellist Yo-Yo Ma playing Johannes Brahms' Violin Sonata in D minor at Constitution Hall in April 2002 for the National Medal of Arts Awards.

At the age of 15, she played Mozart with the Denver Symphony, and while Secretary of State she played regularly with a chamber music group in Washington.[183] She does not play professionally, but has performed at diplomatic events at embassies, including a performance for Queen Elizabeth II, and she has performed in public with cellist Yo-Yo Ma and singer Aretha Franklin.

I'd say all y'alls hatred of her is absolutely racist and fulfills the meme.
