As is common among geezers, I suffer from Degenerative Disc Disease...in my case, in the lumbar area.
Next week I have my annual appointment with my physician and, no doubt, we'll talk about other ways to treat the condition because, in the last six months, the level of my back pain has increased markedly.
For now, I have access to a prescription for cyclobenzaprine, which I try to take only at night and, then, only when the pain is extreme. There are days when, only through my cyclobenzaprine, do I have anything closely resembling a reasonable quantity of life.
I had a refill waiting for me at our pharmacy and my wife was running errands so I asked her, if she had the chance, to pick up the pills.
When she returned with the pills, she told a tale of absolute horror!
According to a new law, in order to pick up a prescription for cyclobenzaprine, one now has to produce photo ID!
How bigoted! How hateful! Can you believe this!!!!!? Now, I don't know if this is a state law or a federal abomination, either way, Democrats are in charge. That demented old fart from Delaware is President and Tom Wolf, a Dem, is governor here!
Knowing the concern that our woke progressives have for the oppression imposed on people of color and the elderly, can you imagine this!
Forget voting!
There are days when my back pain is so intense that any movement at all is excruciating. There are days when, without the help of my med, existence is nearly unbearable.
And, those haters of minorities and geezers are so cruel as to DEMAND that a photo ID be presented, or no release from my anguish.
Now, I'm certain that Curt and isle and, no doubt, Donna would remind me that I'm a white male and, what?, I'm smart enough enough to handle the photo ID requirement, or, perhaps, I'm white so I deserve to suffer if no photo ID can be produced and that is as may be.
But, the truth is, Dems are requiring that poor hapless people of color be able to produce photo ID in order to have access to certain, very crucial, medications.
If Republicans are guilty of hate and oppression for denying the vote to geezers and people of color,...
...what form of a Nazi-like holocaust are Dems attempting against geezers and people of color by demanding they have photo ID to have access to medications!
This is atrocious!
