Florida’s Department of Education blocked the course last week, arguing in a letter that the curriculum “is inexplicably contrary to Florida law” and “significantly lacks educational value.”

Now, College Board is set to update its official framework for the AP African American studies course and release revisions on Feb. 1, the first day of Black History Month.

In a statement shared with The Hill Wednesday, College Board didn’t say that the updated framework it plans to release next month was spurred by Florida’s opposition, but rather that it was a part of a longer process of revising the course with feedback from a 60-city pilot program. Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

But you certainly show a deep and unerring dedication to voting for and supporting them. His cancelling of the African studies courses in Florida is so flagrantly racist and unconstitutional that it boggles the mind. It's going to get entirely thrown out by the Supreme Court eventually. But that doesn't matter to DeSantis. He is very likely well aware that this nonsense won't fly. The reason he's doing it is for the same reasons he does every stupid, sociopathic, and cruel thing he does: To get his deluded and sociopathic followers to think he's that cat's meow. His brand of flaming, antediluvian racism and boundless, Barnum-esque demonstrations of his inhuman sociopathy is not going to fly on a national stage, Bill. And he's got nearly two years yet to double own on all of it. Get the popcorn goin'. Any Democratic candidate will eat him alive over it, and the vast majority of the nation will be disgusted by him as the Second Coming of Trump.
