As I said in my "Why all the Limousin Lib brouhaha over Florida sending illegal darkness to Martha's Vinyard?" thread, southern state governors have been shipping innocent illegals to northern Dem sanctuary cities for a few months and, except for the cities themselves, no one was making a deal out of it.

Enter Ron DeSantis (whom pb supports for President in 024, BTW).

DeSantis rents two planes. Offers some Florida immigrants the chance to fly to Martha's Vinyard, where Barack Obama owns a $12,000,000 mansion, and the whole SwampMedia goes ballistic. Suddenly, the border crisis is the leading news story. And, Ron DeSantis de bomb!

Dig it, gang!

The GOP is a few days away from launching its Commitment to America. A key linchpin of the agenda is the Commitment to secure the border.

And, suddenly, who's leading the way!!!!!?

OrangeMan got in trouble for saying that the way Putin arranged the propaganda for his invasion of Ukraine was genius. It was.

Well, gang, the way my guy, Ron DeSantis, set up the GOP push to make political hay out of the chaos "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" created on the US southern border?

It's genius. Absolute genius!

"Offers some Florida immigrants the chance to fly to Martha's Vinyard..." -HtS

There are two errors with the above.
    1. They were not immigrants in Florida, they were all in Texas. DeSantis was not addressing a situation in Florida. It was just a stunt to appeal the xenophobic Trump base.

    2. They were not told they had a chance to fly to Martha's Vineyard. When they arrived their one of their first question was "where are we?" They were tricked. They were promised work, food and housing. They were expecting to land in Boston or maybe New York.

These people were asylum seekers from Venezuela. U.S. law provides arriving asylum seekers the right to remain in the United States while their claim for protection is pending.

And, BTW, don't even bother providing something from an ideologically driven progressive SwampMedia source like, say, NPR or the NYT...or any venue that suppressed the truth about Hunter Biden.

Just saying, Curt, the tone of the article is hateful and prejudicially anti-Desantis.

    I doubt its veracity.

    Hts,
Find a news source that you consider credible that refutes anything that I said which you question. Provide a link to a source that says these were not Venezuelan immigrants who were asylum seekers in Texas. Show me a source that said that Ron DeSantis or people working on his behalf forthrightly told these immigrants they would be going to the island of Martha's vineyard.

Reporter on MSNBC says migrants 'not angry at DeSantis,' but are thanking him for Martha's Vineyard flight

    *****

A Telemundo reporter appearing on MSNBC appeared to throw cold water on the liberal argument that the migrants Gov. Ron DeSantis flew to Martha's Vineyard, Mass. are wholly upset at the Florida Republican.

Some migrants reportedly said they were "brought to paradise," in the reporter's words.

When asked by Londońo if they feel "hurt" by relocation to Martha's Vineyard, one man responded, "No, not really."

"Instead of hurting us, they did us a favor, so I'm not complaining," he said.

While the reporter noted many Massachusetts locals and activists are decrying DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, she followed up by reiterating that a number of the migrants don't feel entirely the same way.

"I can tell you they are not angry at Ron DeSantis, they are actually thanking him for having brought them to Martha's Vineyard, where they were very well-received,"

...other people, they’re saying they’re being used as political pawns – they don’t resent it for now, and they know they’re the lucky ones...

I saw none of your contentions in this very balanced article.

In other words you cannot refute a single fact that I posted. I expected as much.

That the good people of Martha's vineyard did not complain about the sudden and unannounced influx of immigrants but instead welcome them with humankindness and charity is none of DeSantis' doing. His dastardly scheme was spoiled by human decency.

He is promised to send more plane loads of immigrants of North. It will be a tell if it's politically working for him if he actually does it.

What I found is that the flights originated in San Antonio...nuthin more specific than that...

...and that one group in the 50 was from Venezuela.

Keep looking and you might find something. Here's a tip: look at sites beyond the New York post, Fox News and newsmax.

    No need.

The truth remains. DeSantis is a dastardly genius...

...and the Flatulent Fool is, precisely, "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."
