I've always had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that Trump, as he has in the past, would somehow never be held accountable for his crimes.

Those frustrating feelings that he'd never be indicted and prosecuted have now been pretty much turned around. I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's growing brighter each day! Teri Kanefield explains why in her blog.

For those who want a better understanding of what's happening today this is well worth reading.

    Hey, isle.

Two plus two absolutely does equal four.

    And, your subjectivity is uuuuuuuuuuuugly!

"This week, Trump told a Newsmax host that he recently hosted defendants being prosecuted for attacking the Capitol on January 6. He also said he’s “financially supporting ” some of them. “It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them,” Trump said. He also said he will look “very favorably” about giving “full pardons” to individuals convicted of attacking the Capitol if he wins the 2024 presidential election."

This is the same guy that said, “I want to be very clear. I unequivocally condemn the violence that we saw last week. Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country, and no place in our movement,” Lol !!

Trump apparently believes that being held accountable for criminal behavior is "persecution" and that's why he thinks he's being persecuted !!! Lol !!

(he also seems to think he has a chance of being re-elected in 2024) 😁

    isle,

I'm having trouble figuring you out these days. People entering dementia don't really lose IQ points. Otoh, people who set reason aside, for any reason,...in your case, to hate...give the appearance of losing IQ value.

He also said he will look “very favorably” about giving “full pardons” to individuals convicted of attacking the Capitol if he wins the 2024.

My guess is that you're uninformed about this...probably by choice. I'm still trying to give you some benefit of the doubt. My guess is you're ignert because ignorance makes it easier to hate.

Trump doesn't say that he'll give full pardons to ALL convicted in the Capitol escapade but there have been mumblings on the right about the absolute injustice experienced by some people who did little to nothing more than enter the building after it was breached, people who'd had no arrest record prior to that day who have received, in the opinion of many, usually harsh sentences.

Trump is talking about those people.

But, listen, buddy. It seems to me that you're beginning to go a little bonkers with the TDS thing.

Try taking a few deep breaths. Put Teri and Heather on hold for a week or so. Those seem to be drugs too powerful for you to handle. If you have hobbies, try focusing on them for a few weeks. It'll do you good.

Here's the thing , Hate...I don't hate anybody, even those who do terrible things. I don't hate Al Capone, Hitler, or Jeffrey Dahmer...They are sick individuals, I do hate to think what it must be like to be them.

    You hate. Increasingly.

You're assertion is false, but as you say, for you subjectivity is truth. So you're assertions are meaningless except to you. So...go on believing whatever you want to believe.

Actually, no. And, that's an important component of Kierkegaard's observation.

When one acknowledges their humanity and is honest about the reality that they have a heart, it's then that they've taken a huuuuuuuuuge step (Kierkegaard would only use one U) toward self-awareness and as well as understanding others.

You really do have a heart, isle, and pb sees it.

The part of you that allowed you to squeal with joy over Joe's hate speech on Thursday is your heart.

Americans do find Trump and his followers and enablers behaviordisgusting...

Those are words from your heart. These are not the understandings of Mr Spock in a tense moment.

You're human, man! For better and force worse.

As someone who has a heart and who acknowledges that truth, I see you for who you are...a person with some vinegar inside you. That's, potentially, a good thing.

But, there are times when one's subjectivity would best be checked by reason.

You do that less and less as far as this MAGA thing is concerned. You feed your anger and hate from serious TDSers. That's not good for you.

Hate, your 'belief' that Biden's speech was a hate speech is simply another perfect example of your subjectivity is truth error. "You" might actually believe it's true that Biden's speech was a hate speech... But as far as your belief conforming to reality, you have no way of knowing or confirming that.

I don't call Joe's speech a hate speech or anything else. I can quote from it (that would be an objective fact) and then tell you my interpretation of what I think he means explain why I think that. This is how people exchange thoughts and ideas.

"injustice experienced by some people who did little to nothing more than enter the building after it was breached" --HtS

Are you nuts? That's a serious offense. What your attitude be if your home was broken into and ransacked. Then some people who did little to nothing more than enter the building after it was breached were identified and arrested? Would you give them a pass.?

  10. by HatetheSwamp on September 4, 2022 10:05 am

    Are you nuts?

I thought that was well established.

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha, ahhhhhhhhhhh

pb's not suggesting that these people don't deserve punishment. Only that there treatment is considered by many unduly harsh.

Actually, using Hts's criteria, Jesus engaged in hate speech.

"Actually, using Hts's criteria, Jesus engaged in hate speech"

    So true Donna ! 😁

From Joe (hate speech): Speaking of the extreme MAGAs, “It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something, it’s like semi-fascism.” And I agree 100%

From Jesus (not hate speech): “If any man come to Me and hate not his father and mother, and wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple." Luke 14:26

And Hate claims to be a follower of Jesus !! 😀

"Breaking Down the Key Parts of Luke 14:26
#1 “If anyone comes to me…”
Unfortunately, there were people then and today who would come to Jesus for some reason other than to be his genuine disciples. It is important to come to him, but it is even more important to mind how you come to him.

#2 “…and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters…”
This is not a matter of leaving and cleaving to one’s new family and the next generation. It is total. Of course, we must love our family, but not more than we love Christ or we are only committing idolatry and will hurt them.

#3 “…yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.”
This is totally consistent with Christ’s teaching on the death of self to find the true self (Lk 9:23), taking up one’s one cross, and selling all one has to by the pearl of great price (Mt 13:45-46). Jesus asks not to be only a scratch for the spiritual itch, but one’s whole identity, one’s whole life. If he is worth anything, he is worth everything."

I was raised in the church and have known hundreds of Christians, and I've only known one person who from my perspective seems like a real Christian. I'm not saying that what I perceive is the truth, though.
