(Newsweek)Trump created his Truth Social platform in part because he claims other platforms censor conservatives. So I took a look at his new Terms of Service and "prohibited activities." As a user, you agree not to: disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site.

Contrast that with this site, I shrug off personal attacks and insults, I don't even delete the over-the-top disparaging remarks.

What is it with conservatives? They are constantly imagining and whining about their supposed victimization. Trump is the worst snowflake of all. After all his "Lock her up!" cheerleading he (and his supporters) are all atwitter that the FBI finally got fed up with Trump not returning the unsecured classified documents which he kept strewn around in his resort.

    Curt,

You are worthy of praise. pb praises you regularly. But, for you to disparage Truth Social and not Twitter, is silly.

  2. by Curt_Anderson on September 3, 2022 8:58 am
Your comments about me and that regard are much appreciated.

However Twitter, unlike Trump and Truth Social, is not a charter member of the "can dish it out but can't take it" club.

It's ridiculous and hypocritical to have a forum in which politics are discussed to have a rule in which the presumptive Presidential nominee of a major political party cannot be "disparaged" or "tarnished".

Malignant narcissists can't take criticism, and when they become heads of state, they outlaw it, even execute people for it.

Malignant narcissism is a mental illness. Trump is mentally ill. Always has been. Why anyone would give him their vote under any circumstances is beyond me.

    Donna,
In his article today Islander lamented the departure of John Harwood. I liked Harwood too, and I thought CNN under utilized him. I hope MSNBC picks him up. The following is from last March...

On CNN’s New Day Wednesday, the network’s White House correspondent John Harwood said former President Donald Trump was “mentally unwell in a way that makes him interested exclusively in what benefits him.”

Harwood will be remembered for Rick Perry's oops moment when Perry could remember the three departments he proclaimed that he'd abolish.

“But you can’t name the third one?” CNBC moderator John Harwood asked.

“The third agency of government I would do away with - the education, the uh, the commerce and let’s see. I can’t the third one. I can’t. Sorry Oops.”

There you go. Donna, quoting pb again. Except, that to have voted for Hillary or the Former Truck Driver would have been a far worse choice.

Now, if you could be honest with yourself about President Clouseau.

  6. by Donna on September 3, 2022 11:37 am

    What a ridiculous comparison.

    HtS,
Of course you are anything but honest about Biden. Contrary to your unsubstantiated, uninformed but oft-repeated claim, Biden is not suffering from dementia or that he's being "handled" and abused by those around him. You may not like them, but Biden has an impressive list of legislative accomplishments and executive actions. Biden is a very competent administrator, especially given the 50/50 Senate he has to work with.

Nobody thinks Biden will be remembered as a great orator. So from Joe, the average everyman, we expect a normal amount of slips of the tongue. His malaprops and mispronunciations are on par with your typos in this forum or Trump's flubs in speeches or his use of non-words like "cofefe".

It's only in your fetid imagination that Biden is guilty of corruption but Trump is not. You contort yourself in defending Trump. Trump has inadvertently admitted more than you will blame him for.

It's only in your fetid imagination that Biden is guilty of corruption but Trump is not.

When has pb EVER suggested that Trump is not guilty of corruption.

In this whole raid of Melania's undies drawer, pb has not posted one word in defense of OrangeMan.

First, I love people talking about me in the third person like I'm dead. As much as you would want, I am not.
People who shake hands with imaginary people has dementia... sorry. It's a programming issue... They tell the Demetia patient to turn and face the right to shake hands. Yes. that's what they do. It is sad. but this is what they do. It isn't a bad thing unless it is something more than walking around the halls of a senior facility. I'm not a horrible person. I'm a son of my father dying of Alsheimer's. I wish I weren't, but those are the facts.

You guys have been claiming for two-and-a-half years that Biden has dementia. If that were true, we would have noticed cognitive decline in that time, which we have not. If anything, Biden seems much more mentally alert than he was during his presidential campaign.

But carry on if you must.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on September 4, 2022 8:18 am

If that were true, we would have noticed cognitive decline in that time, which we have not.

Ah, c'mon man, gimme a break! Denile ain't just a river in Africa.

You really need to expand your horizons.

The best part of yesterday's rally...it was right before Trump’s speech...the Trump gang played a video of "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" brainless moments. To people who can handle the truth, it was hilarious yet heartbreaking.

Y'know Donna, you never admit to where you get your information but there's so much you seem to not to know. You're not low information. You're high disinformation.
