FYI, snopes' rating on that is "Unproven".
The problem with the extremists on the left where they're a minority in the Democratic Party, and on the right where they've taken over the GOP is their propensity to believe in conspiracy theories. Not that conspiracies never happen, but a conspiracy theory tends to be the first thing an extremist goes to in order to explain something that has political implications.
Over the years, I've consulted snopes quite a bit, like I just did, to uncover the truth about something that would take me a long time to do on my own, and I've always found their research to be exceptional because it's thoroughly sourced.
Contrary to the minds of conspiracy theorists on the right, snopes doesn't confine itself to debunking right-wing nonsense; it's an equal opportunity debunker. There's a direct correlation between those who live in the world of conspiracy theories and confirmation bias and those who are reactively repulsed by the mere mention of snopes.

Back to the script....
This is how the left see us. Yet. we're the constitutionalists. We believe the constitution is a great thing. The left thinks it's a POS and just wants to replace it.

Although I do agree with Donna, it says it's Unproven...
