People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

Tulsi is the number one enigmat in politics.

She's the closest thing to an antiSwamp Dem. She's more honest about the SwampDems than anyone in the party.

Gabbard came armed with a monologue, torching President Joe Biden, fear-mongering about the power of federal institutions and slamming the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.

“Now, whatever your views are on Donald Trump,” she began, “there is no denying that the unprecedented raid on his Palm Beach home earlier this week has set our country on a dangerous new course, and there’s no turning back. The FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago changed the country we grew up in.”

Preach it, sister!

If you Dems run Tulsi against Trump, pb'd drop OrangeMan like a hot potato.

So Hillary Clinton was right about Tulsi Gabbard. The only reason Gabbard ran as a Democrat is because Republicans rarely get elected to Congress in Hawaii. She and her entire family have been Republicans.

    Nah.

Were she a GOP, she'd have lots of problems. She's a moderate to progressive libertarian and antiSwamp.

You Blue Ultra-MAGAs truly are a bunch of sheep. OD is right. And, you're killing America! OD is right on that, too.

So you call lizzie a great Republican... blablablabla... but can't stand Tulsi. I'm kind of the same way in reverse. Tulsi, to me, makes sense. SHe's also done a lot of good for HI. Like I said before, lizzie has done a lot of harm regarding jobs in WY.

If I were a member of the LWO, I would call you a racist, misogamist pig for hating Tulsi.

OD, I think that, for Donna, it's about Donna'spuppy love crush on Big Brother.

From what I can tell, for many like Donna, to stand for individual liberty is a sign of possession by the devil.

  7. by Donna on August 15, 2022 7:36 am
Of course I believe in individual liberty as long as it's tempered with the recognition that we're all in this thing called life together. Recognizing the first without the second is IMO narcissistic and suicidal for a nation state and ultimately humankind.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on August 15, 2022 7:40 am

Who, do you suggest, wants a life of liberty, free from government intrusion, not "tempered with the recognition that we're all in this thing called life together?"

  9. by Donna on August 15, 2022 7:48 am
Authoritarians and those who support them.

Those who lack compassion and empathy.

    Racists.

That's fresh! The person who was happy to put people/ families out of their houses without heat in winter, near Canada... Most of them indigenous tribal members. I call that RACIST.

Well you actually did it when they shut down the pipeline. So maybe you need to rethink that ******

  13. by Donna on August 15, 2022 6:57 pm
The oil is still being transported from Canada by truck and rail.

  14. by oldedude on August 15, 2022 7:09 pm
An extremely difficult and hazardous trip. Much more so than the pipeline on both accounts. AND a couple of thousand workers were without pay, housing, and food during the coldest months in the northern tier of the US.

Of course, you just showed how much you don't care. That's fine. People dying? just what you wanted!

  15. by Donna on August 16, 2022 8:21 am
What about the truckers and railroad workers who would have lost income after that pipeline was built due to the oil they were hauling being transported via pipeline instead? Don't they matter to you? And what about the Indians who don't want a oil pipeline threatening the health of their rivers and streams and by extension their own health and prosperity? Are those people nothing to you?

Not building that pipeline isn't going to be the demise of that humongous tar sands operation in Canada. They're still extracting a tremendous amount of oil from there.

Do you know for a fact that thousands of tar sands employees have been adversely affected by scrapping that pipeline? How could a pipeline that wasn't completed have taken something away from them? How is it possible to lose something you never had?

  16. by Donna on August 16, 2022 8:28 am
I just went back and re-read what you posted. I may have misunderstood which workers you're referring to. Are you talking about the pipeline workers? Sounds like you were. There was tremendous opposition there against the pipeline, though. It wasn't my battle. I'm for whatever the majority there wants.

  17. by oldedude on August 16, 2022 10:13 am
So there aren't enough truckers working to begin with. Especially those that will go into Canada because of the issues getting over the border (for this oil). The next place they hate going is Cal. It's even worse there. The meat going to harbor of LA is scarce at best. And this isn't meat going to cal. Its global meat being used in the Pacific. So, this has a huge impact on our trade balance. So "we" put a couple of thousand indigenous families out of work in an arena that has horrible employment rates, and the follow-up that is usual with high unemployment. Alcohol/ drug use, suicides, violent crime and sexual assaults. They go back to the res and start the cycle again.
