FBI agents with the Washington Field Office on Monday raided the former president's Florida home and broke into his safe in search of classified documents Trump may have taken from the White House.
Trump was quick to condemn the raid as an act of political persecution.
"It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don't want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections," he said in a statement on Monday evening.
Former President Donald Trump's son Eric on Wednesday stated that his father was "shattering all fundraising records" after the FBI raided his Florida estate of Mar-a-Lago on Monday.
