Seven staffers from “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” including Robert Smigel, the voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, were arrested on Thursday night for unlawful entry at the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C., Fox News’ Chad Pergram reported Friday.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, those wacky libs.

    Yeah, the EXACT SAME CHARGE AS THE JANUARY 6th insurrectionists.

    Maybe they'll leave them in jail for a year without charges (constitutional violation), last done in England under their "terrorist (black) laws" meaning they could hold them because they were Irish and could be treated as a second class citizen.

    Equal treatment if they were equal events. They weren't. Unless you know otherwise, the Late Show crew didn't break windows, walk off with podiums, fling feces onto the walls, bear spray cops, disrupt an official governmental procedure or threaten the vice president and members of Congress with bodily harm.

    Why is it that Republicans have difficulty making equitable comparisons? 😕

    According to the AP article below, they weren't arrested for "illegal entry" as "The Wrap" article states. They were authorized to enter the Capitol building to film a comedy segment and stayed there longer than they were supposed to.

    I predict that they won't be charged.

    Curt= do you have any reliable source of that? Because of the charges, none of that has been charged. And remember, only one person was murdered. A visitor. NOT any police as was stated by the old doddering fukface.

    Five Capitol police died as a result of the thugs who brutally assaulted them on Jan 6, 2021. Three of them were so affected by what those traitorous unAmerican thugs did to them that they committed suicide.

    To not mention their deaths us just plain ignorant.

    Sorry, please don't spin your beliefs. Unless you can PROVE the crowd talked the others in to killing themselves, they're not culpable in any measure. Sorry. You lose.

    Officer Brian D. Sicknick of the Capitol Police, who was attacked by the mob, died on Jan. 7. The USCP accepts the findings from the District of Columbia's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes.

    Officer Jeffrey Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department killed himself after the attack.

    Officer Howard S. Liebengood of the Capitol Police also died by suicide four days afterward.

    But the report was issued a month before two Metropolitan Police officers — Gunther Hashida and Kyle DeFreytag — died by suicide in July.

    It's willful ignorance to believe that those people would have committed suicide anyway if they hadn't been brutally assaulted by that unhinged mob.

    I'm only using the EXACT relationship you are. Although Grossman covered that in "On Killing" they've discovered the subversive nature of the sheep now actually affects veterans more. You think it's stupid, right? but the studies show you're wrong. It's also really offensive that you don't give one sht about 22 veterans per day unless it suits your needs at the time.

    FYSA. The guy who shot the woman to death committed suicide because, although he was cleared, HE FELT it was a wrongful shoot. It might pay you to think of the other side. Just for once. And what I stated is what you really hate (more than me), is the law. Since you've had your head somewhere else, this has actually become an issue. 1. a girlfriend tried to see if she could talk her "boyfriend" in to committing suicide. He did, and it was proved in court with the texts written to him. On appeal, the courts found it has to be the DIRECT, provable correlation between subject and victim.

    Trump primes, encourages, unleashes and goads on a homicidal mob of delusional psychopaths on the U.S. Capitol who swiftly overwhelmed the small handful of security forces tasked with protecting the Capitol and the people within it... And olde dude wants to bicker and argue about what happened to one of these poor misunderstood rampaging lunatics as she was breaking through a highly secured area with a raging mob thirsty for police officer blood while in their quest to hunt down and lynch the vice president of the United States.

    Again, a couple apple seeds compared to freight trains full of oranges.

    We gotta listen to these hypocritical armchair superheroes, like olde dude, brag all big and macho about how any burglar who was foolish enough to rob their home would get a .223 round fired up their ass.

    But a raging mob of armed and already casualty-producing, cosplaying revolutionaries stalking the halls of congress for politicians to hang is supposed to get the kid glove treatment.

    I was truly surprised that they didn't shoot more of those homicidal traitors than they did. Many of them certainly had it coming.
