It's sad that so many Americans don't understand that the president has almost no control over inflation.

If we lose our democracy, it'll be because of widespread ignorance.

Another example of how Americans, due to widespread ignorance, rejected a product that was of greater value because they mistakenly believed it was of lesser value. See the link below.

I'm beginning to think that democracy's days are numbered, and not just in the US. Canada is having some of the same problems because of an increasingly ignorant populace.

The guys who run China understand that in order to create and maintain a prosperous and successful nation, you need to have smart guys running the government, which cannot be guaranteed in a democracy.

The United States is a democracy, since we the people, hold the ultimate political power. We’re NOT a “direct democracy,” but we are a “representative democracy.”

We can say we are a Republic in the sense that our elected representatives exercise political power. But we are NOT a pure republic.

We can say we are a “federal constitutional representative democracy.”
Or we can say we are a "federal constitutional republic."

When describing our system of government, “Republic” has the same meaning as the term “representative democracy.”

If anyone wants to argue over such a foolish distinction...be my guest LoL !!!

1. Say that Liz Cheney was boring
2. Say it was old news
3. Change the topic to rising gas prices and inflation

What's wrong with reading off of a teleprompter? And why is that only pointed out when someone you don't like read from one?

Given the widespread ignorance of Americans -- and I'm not only talking about Republican voters -- I'm not surprised at all that Biden's poll numbers are in the toilet. In fact I spoke about that widespread ignorance earlier in this thread.

My sense of the rationale for televising the hearing in prime time was to inform people who had not been aware and to interest them in the crimes committed on Jan 6th.

Having a middle aged lady sitting still and reading for a half hour, no matter how compelling the prose?

Not ideal.

I don't think I am. There are few people in DC with whom I'm more ideological compatible. But, the degree of her Trump derangement confounds me.

And, I thought she did what she did well enough. It's that the Committee launched its Prime Time extravaganza that way. It was an opportunity lost forever.

That's how I sound to you.

Cheney's consumed by her hatred of Trump, so much so that she's allowed herself to become the face of the other party's Show Trial Inquisition. It's one thing to despise Trump and to think he's despicable. I do that myself.

But, she was the third ranking GOP in the House in a year when the GOPs are going to seize control and keep, probably for at least three Congresses over something that turned out to be a tempest in a teapot.

That's deranged.

Of course it is. Joe's election was confirmed on the day it was scheduled to be. He was immaculated on time, peacefully. Effin DOZENS of the rioters have been arrested. Many have already been convicted and are in prison, some for a looooooooong time.

You wanna guess why Joe's polls continue to fall while all of this damning evidence is unveiled?
