Donna has said that HtS is playing me, thus ascribing a lack of sincerity on his part. I tend to believe that people are sincere in their stated beliefs, including HtS. People can be sincere but sincerely wrong.
Today Peter Navarro was indicted and for a time held in federal custody. He faces the possibility of two years in jail and/or a $200,000 fine for his refusal to cooperate with the January Sixth Committee. Navarro wrongly has been asserting the shield of executive privilege even though Biden refused to extend it for the previous president and that the Supreme Court rejected Trump's claim of executive privilege.
Navarro must have sincerely believed he was in the right. He has even gone on TV and unknowingly incriminated himself and others. He was apparently oblivious to the fact that he placed himself in legal jeopardy. In an interview on MSNBC yesterday, host Ari Melber finally asked the gabby Navarro, "you do realize these investigators can hear you when you talk on TV?"
In an earlier interview with Navarro (see video below), Melber asked, "do you realize you are describing a coup?"
I believe that Peter Navarro, Mike Lindell and all the other Trump cultists from the prominent to the anonymous really believe what Trump says and what they are saying.
