Trump's sacrilegious Bible scam. If people don't recognize Trump as a phony now, they never will.

There's no joy in TDSville.
Another DA has struck out.

NEW YORK — A six-month grand jury that was convened late last year to hear evidence against Donald Trump was set to expire this week, closing a chapter in a lengthy criminal investigation that appears to be fizzling out without charges against the former president, people familiar with matter said.

I despise Trump. I think he's despicable. But, PTL, I don't have TDS. I know some of you were hopin against hope that Trump would pay the piper once his term was over. Yet again. Nada.

Oh well. Trump has a gauntlet of court cases to worry about. He still is facing steep legal defense bills even if he is never found guilty of anything. Not to mention the $10,000 a day for his contempt of court in the NY state case. His legal woes are my schadenfreude.

Here's what he is still facing:

Willie Jerome Manning spends two decades in prison over faulty hair science

"Manning’s case is only one among thousands from the 1980s and ’90s that used the FBI’s pseudoscientific analysis—which may have resulted in death sentences or decades-long imprisonment for innocent people."

Sheri's ex has been convinced for a long time that Trump was going to do prison time. She sent me plenty articles, mostly from the Palmer Report, supporting her contention. My response was consistent: "I'll believe it when I see it".

    From the article link below:

Trump was facing criminal charges as the probe looked into his financial dealings and those of the Trump Organization, but Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has reportedly stopped presenting the grand jury any evidence on Trump in recent weeks. The former "war room" prosecutors dedicated to preparing for grand jury presentations in the Trump probe has shuttered, and the grand jury expires at the end of the month.

Prosecutors still could form another jury to continue determining whether Trump falsely inflated the value of his assets, [But he did - Donna] but given the trajectory of the case, it seems unlikely, says the Times. Some sources "believe that it will not result in an indictment of the former president unless a witness cooperates unexpectedly — a long shot in an investigation that has been running for more than three years."

Bragg's case is separate from that of New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is investigating the same conduct. That case is expected to take action against Trump, but because "her investigation is civil, Ms. James can bring a lawsuit, but not criminal charges," writes the Times.

Just spoke with her. She still maintains that Trump will "rot in prison".

I think she's thinking with her heart.

It's pathetic that Alvin Bragg isn't following up on this case. It's hard not wonder if he was paid off.

I also am not holding my breath waiting for Trump to be behind bars.

I think Trump's most serious jeopardy is the Brad Raffensperger Georgia election fraud case. The potential penalties are one to three years in jail. See link below.

From the beginning, I've thought that you guys are so cute with your sincere, naíve, hopeful hate.

I'll say what I've always said. Trump is too slimy and rich to get on a whole lot of trouble.

But, please, please, please, please, please. Keep a good thought.

I agree with everything you said, although I don't think he'll do any time from the GA case either.

    HtS,
That's rather a cynical and anti-justice for all attitude you have in supporting the guy you call despicable and slimy.

As I said, I don't harbor much hope that he'll serve any time, but his legal bills are mounting up. Some of the non-cultist Republican-leaning voters might think twice about voting for a crook even if he does beat the the rap. I don't care how much he compartmentalizes, he has to worry some about all these legal cases he is dealing with.

My advice to you is that you keep hoping. You'll recall that two weeks before the 016 election that pu$$y grabbing video and Trump won a huuuuuuuuuge electoral college victory over an admittedly weak opponent.

And, you know that Bill Barr, who knows the truth about OrangeMan intimately, will vote for him if the Dems run the Roaring Bear from Delaware again, or another similar candidate.
