Seriously, Outkick?! That's the sort of site you go to for your news and information? It seems like clickbait for people who don't read past the headline.

That story explains the the "unexplained" Biden income almost immediately.

Per a report from the Daily Mail, Biden came up with an unexplained $5.2 million to help out his kid.

Now, per the Daily Mail, some of the cash came from Biden book deals, speaking engagements, etc.

The article days more than that, though, Curt.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Biden's sudden riches came via Hunter, would you?

Multi-millionaires like Joe Biden, Donald Trump and sheesh, probably most US Senators live in a different world than folks like us, with their international deals and whatnot. I'm sick of all of them.

Sheri and I live in a world where one serious illness would bankrupt us. Our financial insecurity is very present in our minds - a constant worry. And it's all because of greed. Fuck all of those people.

No. Curt. It splains how he got busted. He forked out big bucks FOR his dope snorting stripper impregnation son. He didn't get it from him.

BTW, Curt, this is big news on those news outlets you're too smug to consult. Like with the laptop story. Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

    Donna,
    A few things...

I heard story this morning on NPR about a family that was hit by some enormous medical/hospital bills: Father had COVID, the wife had an unexplained fainting. When their son dislocated his shoulder they drove to nearby Mexico to see a doctor for a practically a few bucks. I thought of you two in Tucson.

As for Biden, so you are saying Joe Biden got money from Hunter and then gave it back to Hunter for his legal expenses?

Yes, the people who are in the upper echelons of their profession earn a lot of money. If a person is among the top one hundred lawyers, the top one hundred athletes, the top one hundred authors, the top one hundred actors, the top one hundred restaurateurs, the top one hundred politicians (like Biden) or the top one hundred anything, they probably do well financially. Practically anyone of them can make money writing a book or doing public speaking in addition to their day job.

It's pretty obvious that Hunter capitalized on his family name. Unsavory, unfair, maybe. Not illegal. If Hunter is guilty of evading income tax, violating foreign lobbying laws or whatever, I have no problem with his being hauled into court. But I have yet to hear that Joe Biden was bribed directly or indirectly other than in Trump's debunked claims made in his "perfect phone call" to Zelensky.

I'd be very hesitant to drive to Mexico for a serious medical procedure. Sheri and I personally know someone whose operation was botched in Mexico.

What a sad state of affairs, though, to have to travel from the wealthiest nation on the planet to a third world country (or us it considered "emerging"?) to be able to afford a medical procedure.

I don't have a problem with wealthy athletes, actors, musicians, physicians, scientists, company owners, etc. for the reason you cited. A senator's salary, though, doesn't account for the fortunes many (most?) of them have amassed. They use their positions and insider stock market information to produce the kind of wealth they have. They're supposed to be public servants for crissakes.

Knowing you as I do, I'm guessing that you might bring up Bernie Sanders who a few years ago cracked the million dollar mark on a book he wrote. I don't have a problem with Bernie. Until he wrote that book, he and his wife lived modestly compared to so many of his colleagues. He still isn't that rich by today's standards. More power to him.

I hadn't though of Bernie in that regards, but you are correct. Biden's story is similar to Sanders'.

    POLITIFACT:
In challenging President Donald Trump to release his tax returns, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said he had released 21 years of his returns and then claimed relative poverty for himself.

Biden said, "I entered as one of the poorest men in Congress, left one of the poorest men in government, in Congress and as vice president."

Biden likely was among the less wealthy members when he first entered Congress, as a senator, in 1973.

The latest available rankings by the respected Center for Responsive Politics that include Biden, based on official reports filed in 2015, put Biden near the bottom of 581 members of the federal legislative, executive and judicial branches, in terms of wealth.

We rate Biden’s statement Mostly True.

As I recall one of your reasons for considering Costa Rica was the cost of doctors and medicine. There are some procedures, like that kid's dislocated shoulder, for which I might travel to Mexico. For more advanced medical procedures I'd probably do some very careful shopping abroad.

A couple years ago I considered traveling abroad for some non-emergency dental work. The travel costs made it prohibitive but we did shop around and changed dentists locally. We did once travel to Bend, Oregon, about 250 miles away for a medical procedure for my wife. The savings covered the cost of the hotel and restaurants and then some.

    Curt,

You're assuming that Joe's reporting honestly. As I've already posted here, White House records suggest Joe's been telling porky pies about knowing nothing about Hunter's business dealings.

My guess, once 023 comes, is that the connections between Joe and Hunter's money laundering operation will be gone over with a fine tooth comb...well, I'm certain of that. From what I can tell from reports on the content of the laptop...which you're still pretending away, is that the fine tooth comb will prove problematic for the Former Truck Driver.
