Decide if you like someone enough to give them an actual gift.	YES	Decide if you care enough to give a meaningful gift, or are just doing what's expected of you.	YES	Think ahead. Plan so you aren't scrambling at the last moment. If you really like the person and want to communicate that, put some thought into the gift.	YES	Consider what the person might like. Think about their personality -- what colors they like, if jewelry what kind of stones or types they like, what they like to do, what kinds of things would be nice. The unexpected can be nice -- you may have to actually leave your own neighborhood to find something nice.

Yay. Easy Street. Send a card, maybe.		Give something easy. Just go to the nearest store or online, and get something -- anything. Or pay for dinner the next time you are out together. (Usually done ON the person's birthday.)		Panic. Rush out and try to at least consider what the person may like. Do whatever you can to make the person feel special -- flowers, cake, card.
