Dry Large Leaf and remove large veins

Grind leaf in motar and pestle with 5 ml of 100% acetone
|

Add a pinch of sand
|
|
Put a Kimwipe into a funnel to make a filter
|
|
Filter the solution in the test tube with the kimqipe into a 30 X 100 mm test tube
|

Let the solution sit and separate into its two parts. "top ether phase, bottom acetone phase"
|
|
Put a rubber stopper on the test tube and invert it
|
|
add 2 drops of water to the test tube
|
|
Add 1/2 the amount of petroleum as there is extract in the test tube. "solution should be 2 parts extract to 1 part petroleum"
