Chris Cox -- Congressman from California. Young, Catholic, pro-life, conservative--but can he deliver the big one, CA? Chaired the Cox Committee, investigating Los Alamos espionage.

Jennifer Dunn -- Conservative, but moderately pro-choice. One of the smartest people on Capitol Hill.

Fred Thompson -- Tennessee Senator. A former actor, Thompson is charismatic and authoritative. A McCain supporter.

John McCain -- Arizona Senator. Insists he doesn't want to be Vice President.

Dick Lugar -- Expert on foriegn affirs, widely respected. Pro-life, moderate.

John Danforth -- Former Missouri Senator. Danforth is respected and remembered for his integrity. Pro-life moderate.

John Kasich -- Ohio Congressman. Young and charismatic--but is he too breezy? Would a Bush/Kasich ticket have a severe gravitas deficit?

George Pataki -- New York Governor. Member of Bush's inner circle, bumbled New York primary. Bush beat McCain, but just barely. Moderate, pro-choice, dull.

Connie Mack -- Florida Senator. Pro-life Catholic. A favorite of pro-lifers, Mack also appeals to moderates. Has said he doesn't want to run.

Pete Domenici -- New Mexico Senator. Budget Committee Chairman. Pro-life, Catholic, Italian-American, moderate conservative. Experienced.

James Gilmore -- Virginia Governor. Favorite of conservatives and moderates alike. Probably the smartest governor in the country. Very anti-tax. Supports all restrictions except a repeal of Roe on abortion. Despite this, being pushed by Paul Weyrich and Pat Robertson.

Mike Huckabee -- Arkansas Governor. Credited with a economic boom in Arkansas. Very pro-life, very pro-business, very pro-gun. Staunch conservative.

Colin Powell -- Former General. Probably the most respected man in America. Basically conservative. Mildly pro-choice, opposed to gays in the military.

Dick Cheney Former Secretary of Defense. Smart, conservative, pro-choice, gives much needed help with foriegn affairs/defense. Widely repsected my conservatives and moderates alike.

Liddy Dole -- Former Cabinet Official. Lackluster Presidential run. Would help with the gender gap. Pro-life.

William Bennett -- Conservative commentator. Aggressive intellect unequalled in GOP. Was offered the 2nd spot by Dole in 96, but declined. Staunchly conservative, pro-life, an eloquent "virtue czar."

Lamar Alexander -- Former Tennessee Governor. A no-lose pick. Moderate, pro-choice, experienced. Served as Education Secretary under Bush 1.

J.C. Watts -- Oklahoma Congressman. Eloquent conservative. Former football player. Young, charismatic, but needs more experience.

Alan Keyes -- Former Assistant Secretary of State. Fiery orator an social conservative.
