So, Curt? Did you even watch your own video?

The libertarian/conservative ideologies and the Republican Party are the homes of openness and inclusion, acceptance, diversity, tolerance and freethinking.

Kelly embraces all of those essential values in this segment from yesterday's podcast.

Fess up. Do you wish you could be this honest and free about juiced-up Joe?... and not the prisoner of your lock step, Good German culture.

I just noted to you here on Wednesday that Ryan Girdusky said that Katie Britt was on Trump’s Veep short list. She had her screen test... failed... and now?, the GOP moves on.

And, you're still saddled with Kacklin Kammy. Baha.

Gimme the party of openness and inclusion, acceptance, tolerance, diversity... FREEDOM!

    YEAHMAN!

Rebuttals to the SOTU address are generally given to a freshman in the party to give them some juice and see what they do. They are generally met with the same arguments the SOTU address had. I don't put much stock into them at all.

I do agree Katie isn't ready. Yet she might move up on a committee or two. Something like that.

I didn't think she was as fiery and divisive as pedojoe. To be sure. Some have been. Her demeanor was set up by GOP handlers. And like lead said, it's one facet of the party. Not the little germans that get their marching orders from a single point of contact and won't veer from them.

Sorry. She was hitting the suburban parents and mostly white mothers, wives, and grandparents. Christmas and Easter Christians that think their children actually belong to them and not the "Democratic People's Republic of wokesters."

She was telling them it's okay to demand that your children are YOUR children and grandchildren. This group isn't easily swayed by Boebert and MTG. They're the ones that voted for pedojoe before when he said "he was just the grandfather looking to take care of the kiddos" and they learned he is really Uncle Earnie.

Of course I watched it, HtS. I also watched the entire rebuttal. I don’t blame Katie Britt entirely. Her Republican handlers set the kitchen scene as if she were in an episode of Leave it to Beaver. I suspect they gave her these stage instructions: Katie, imagine you’re playing the role of June Cleaver as portrayed by Bette Davis. Pump up the emotion and the histrionics!

    Curt,

Interestingly, I followed the night's events on Fox and, in the moments between Joe's Roid Rage Rant and Katie's disaster, Fox reporters noted that they'd seen excerpts of Katie's remarks and were on fire.

What Britt said was aces. How she said it was historically disastrous.

That "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" has given the GOPs lots to work with that will appeal to moderate and independent voters, especially suburban women.

    IMO.

    HtS,
I cannot think of any examples of a rebuttal ever helping the party not in the White House. The best are quickly forgotten, the worst are mocked.

I don’t think “a woman’s place is in the kitchen” subtext will win over many women.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on March 9, 2024 9:53 am

    Agreed.

I think, as I said, this was Katie's audition as a Veep candidate.

Some among the right-wing media are saying that having Trump give the GOP response
was on the table, as I'm sure you know from your own dedicated Fox viewership.

But, they kept Katie in place. I think she had a chance to move on to bigger and better things, but, alas.

I don’t think “a woman’s place is in the kitchen” subtext will win over many women.

So is that your wife? Could it be (like I said and you didn't choose to read) that it are parents that don't want to hand over control to the People's Republic of Wokesters and Deviants? People that actually care about their children, instead of those that couldn't care less if their child takes a gun to school to kill their kindergarten teacher and "later boasted in a conversation with a school employee that “I shot that b[ ] dead,” according to unsealed redacted search warrants." I mean, I'm sure she cares now because "The mother of the student pleaded guilty to federal gun charges in connection with the incident as part of a plea deal, and will be sentenced in October.

Deja Taylor will plead guilty to a state charge of child neglect on August 15, Ellenson told CNN.

A state charge for recklessly handling a firearm will be dropped at the time of the plea, according to Ellenson. “The cap for sentencing on the child neglect charge is six months,” the attorney said."
She still plead guilty to the federal charges.

You "say" you want the government out of your life and that you're a libertarian. And yet at every turn your whole process is invading the homes and lives of people, most of the time against the US Constitution. Oh. Except when there's immigration involved. Then you "slightly" changed your view.
