I am reading through it. The link is below. If there's any major revelations or newsworthy testimony in it, I haven't come across it. The pages are numbered, if anybody sees anything that spells trouble for Joe Biden, please quote the passage and note the page number.

Interestingly, I subscribe to MSNBC and CNN and Newsmax and Fox on YouTube. For what it's worth, I found nuthin last night from MSNBC nor CNN about Hunter's testimony.

    Nuthin at all.

You probably know that they're both quick to defend President Biden.

    Nuthin.

    They got plenty of nuthin.

As interesting as Josh Hawley's or NewsMax pundit's or any other conservative's review of the proceedings might be, they mean nothing. To say that Hunter Biden's testimony was "bizarre" or "played us for fools" is a subjective comment.

I could offer my review of the last Super Bowl and my subjective opinion that the 49ers were the better team. Ultimately it is the objective measures that matter; i.e. what was the score? The same goes for this impeachment inquiry. What points implicating Joe Biden in a crime have Jim Jordan and James Comer made?

Niners beat themselves. No idea why they weren't running the ball in the 3rd quarter. Classic mistake teams make against the Chefs - believing you can sit on a small lead. I see my Raiders do it every year.

Perhaps. Theirs is partisan and ideological spin.

Both sides do it. The Swamp doesn't care about truth.

Still, don't you think that that Whatsapp text, which Hunter admits to, is evidence?

  8. by Curt_Anderson on March 1, 2024 11:23 am
It's only evidence in the sense that a half eaten ham sandwich could be entered into evidence in any trial. It's not compelling. It wouldn't convince any jury of normal intelligence and it would have been dismissed as hearsay.

The text which under oath Hunter said if he did send when he was high only indicates he was being "an ass and idiot".

  9. by HatetheSwamp on March 1, 2024 11:26 am

    Curt,

I'm not asking if it's compelling. Only if it's evidence.

  10. by Curt_Anderson on March 1, 2024 11:39 am
For something to be considered evidence, especially admissible evidence, it needs to indicate or give reason to believe that something is true.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on March 1, 2024 11:46 am

    Really? According to whom?

  12. by Curt_Anderson on March 1, 2024 11:52 am
    The dictionary. Look it up.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on March 1, 2024 11:59 am

"Evidence: the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid."

Right. The Whatsapp text, clearly, is evidence... it contains information... that Joe had knowledge of what Hunter was doing... and cooperated in it.

    B'gosh!
