(CNN)[E. Jean Carroll's attorney Roberta] Kaplan detailed the end of the deposition when she was set to leave, saying that Trump told her: “See you next Tuesday” – a phrase that is often used as a derogatory euphemism directed at women.

“We come in the room and I say, ‘I’m done asking questions’ and immediately I hear from the other side, ‘Off the record. Off the record. Off the record.’ So they must have planned it. And he looks at me from across the table and he says, ‘See you next Tuesday,’” she recounted.

Kaplan said that she was initially confused, as their next meeting was set for a Wednesday. “You could tell it was like, it was like a kind of a joke again, like teenage boys would come up with. But again, I wasn’t in on the joke,” she said.

I had no idea how or why that phrase was a derogatory euphemism until I looked it up. Dictionary.com provides the answer.

    C) The president is nothing more than a useless figurehead AND the USA is a failed state.

Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, Canada... lot of them, OD. But thanks for giving me the opportunity to use one of more recent comics - I remember you remarking a few posts back how much you love them.

    When it comes to America...

  6. by oldedude on February 3, 2024 1:57 am
actually, that was very apropos to your usual remarks. That's what they're worth. When are you going to move instead of being a little bitch here?

  7. by oldedude on February 3, 2024 6:38 am
Yeah..... sorry curt. E. Jean has been serially doing this looking for a payday for decades. Her "lawyer" who's all for "women's rights" left women stranded when it was cuomo. I'm sure you are completely enamored with ej. She has a case against trumpster, she dumps her thought line (for women in this case), ONLY because it was against a dim. So all in all, she's also a good little german also. One that you can look up to and admire.

  8. by Curt_Anderson on February 3, 2024 9:07 am
    OD,
    Ok, point by point.
“Serially”? Are you saying E. Jean sued other men for rape? Who?
“Stranded”? What does that mean? Did Kaplan act as a lawyer for women against Andrew Cuomo, and then drop the cases?
“Dumps her thought line”? Please translate that portion of your comment.

I am not going to wade through all the videos that HTS posted just to try to discern what your points are and what you were talking about. I watched a few minutes of the Megan Kelly video, but that doesn’t answer my questions. I’m not gonna watch a 15 minute video to see if it ever does. If you cannot answer my questions with typed words in a comment that’s fine I can live with it.

Look, I asked OD some simple questions. Some of them could be answered yes or no. Others might require a link. Maybe an explanation. Rather making it a drawn out mystery, why don't you two just answer at least some of my questions?

With your combined intransigence and obstinance I suspect BS.

I realize that you two are deeply pained that the jury decided against Trump and for Ms. Carroll. All it took for the jury to decide was a preponderance of evidence. It was civil not criminal court. By that measure, Trump was his own worst enemy. His deposition was a disaster for him. His courtroom histrionics worked against him. His lawyer was incompetent. The lack of a definite date of the sexual assault was a factor in his favor. The jury determined that the rest of the evidence made Carroll's accusations more likely than not.

Okay dikead. You're too lazy to figure this out. Got it. Sorry I didn't sway to your every fucking childish whim.
Megyn Kelly (MK) on Roberta Caplin issues
They know it's not fair. Hey know it's ridiculous. It's way above what even the lawyer had asked for. And by the way, that lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, Robbie, who's very talented in the courtroom, I wouldn't take that away from her. She's gotten good results for her clients. She's the one who effed the women when she worked for Times Up, when Andrew Cuomo was the one in trouble. She's one of the ones who, when faced with the question of, hmm, it's a Democrat who's been accused, hmm, what should I do? She decided to side with the Democrat and sold the women up the river, thus resulting in the closure of Time's Up. So she can spare me as they sit there talking about what champions they all are of women's rights. When it was a Democrat who was allegedly hurting the women, they had no time for them.

You see, it's just when you're President Trump

They can change the laws to come after you. They can give you a nearly $100 million judgment on defamation that, if it happened at all, is at best worth a pittance. And no one, even someone calling herself a journalist, will even bother to challenge you on it. Instead, they'll joke about how they're going to go shop for a new wardrobe, which, by the way, Rachel Maddow does desperately need.

Glenn Beck (Beck/ GB) E. Jean and her long list of "rape" accusations
(Beck)You know, the thing about this, Megan, is that this case was so unbelievably weak in the first place.

She has, her credibility is nowhere to be found. She is accused, a babysitter's boyfriend, a dentist, a camp counselor, an unnamed college date, an unnamed boss, and CBS chief Les Moonves of either sexually assaulting or raping her in the past.

I mean, wow, that's an awful lot of people. She's quite the target.

    [00:05:59] SPEAKER_03 (MK)

Don't be alone in a room with E. Jean Carroll if you were a man.

    [00:06:01] SPEAKER_18 (GB)

And then the case itself, I know you've taken this apart, but I just
don't understand why the jury couldn't hear things like, you know, well, I don't really know specifically when it happened. All I remember is I was wearing a Donna Karan coat dress, high heels, but not a coat.

She said that it was unworn and unlaundered since that evening.

(MK)Wait, okay, first of all, that coat dress was not made in 94 or 95.

You're not going to look any further, so I won't put them in.

    OD,

I think you wasted your time. Most of our progressives openly groove on prejudice and ignernce. Curt implied that he wanted facts but he doesn't.

That's po, isle and Donna, too...

    ...as Curt's made clear.

He merely wants to practice TrumpHate and he's content for it to be ignernt TrumpHate... blatant... unabashed.

    Sad.

I figured we were introducing them to something from another universe, since the sheeple media won't say anything about this. Therefore, it can't be in there reality. Had curt not continually pull stoopid stuff up about trumpster (I mean really, really inane), I wouldn't have even looked into it.

My view is that she's got something wrong with her. If it's about high school and the football team using her as a rag doll, I don't know. AND she's a sheep. so being a serial victim is their trademark. It also really bothers me that she so severely degrades the true victims of forcible rape and tries to get their day in court against some asshole(s) and this is what's in the back of the jurys' minds because she wanted a couple of bucks. I think it's sickening.

  19. by HatetheSwamp on February 4, 2024 6:02 am

She is, as the red pill gang says, a 304. Deranged TrumpHaters have no shame.

  20. by Curt_Anderson on February 4, 2024 9:22 am
    OD,
Ok, as for your “serially” remark, you didn’t mean that E. Jean Carroll sued anybody else for sexual assault. You are saying that you sometimes in her writing alluded to past sexual assaults, sometimes without naming names. She did name Les Moonves, and said publicly that she did not sue him because he didn’t defame her in denying the allegation. Trump was sued for defamation. Moonves, like Trump, faces multiple accusations of inappropriate sexual conduct

As for your “stranded” remark, Roberta Kaplan quit her chairmanship of Times Up because she had her capacity as a lawyer advised the Andrew Cuomo administration. Clearly, that would’ve been a conflict of interest to of represented any of Cuomo accusers. She also stopped representing Cuomo.

  21. by oldedude on February 4, 2024 9:59 am
She commonly uses this as her tactic "claiming" she's been "sexually assaulted" or "raped" numerous times. If she's that stupid to put herself in that position multiple times, she ought not to be a thot. It cheapens the effect and leaves women that are raped because of things out of their control having to fight her desire for money.

  22. by Curt_Anderson on February 4, 2024 5:09 pm
"If she's that stupid to put herself in that position multiple times, she ought not to be a thot." --OD

Trump was that stupid to put in himself in that position. I am referring to the position that Trump stupidly put himself into by defaming E. Jean Carroll---not once but repeatedly.

He was sued for defamation, not rape. Carroll said of Trump "he defamed my character, accused me of lying for personal gain, even insulted my appearance." Among other things, he claimed without evidence that Carroll had conspired with Hillary Clinton and/or the DNC. If Trump had been a Shakespeare fan he might have remembered that "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

Trump was too stupid to stop. On CNN one day after the first verdict, Trump continued to disparage Carroll; he called her a "whack job", said the trial was "rigged", and claimed "I don't know who the hell she is."

Trump's antics in the courtroom and his self-incriminating deposition were not lost on the jury. They must have been thinking, yeah, this guy is a liar and a jerk.

Finally, with a $83.3 million lesson, Trump to seems to have learned to stop defaming Carroll.

  23. by oldedude on February 4, 2024 10:10 pm
He was sued for defamation, not rape. Carroll said of Trump "he defamed my character, accused me of lying for personal gain, even insulted my appearance."
I agree with trumpster. I already said said that after all those "incidences" of accusing so many other's of "rape," she found herself someone that could pay what she wanted. Knowing her history of accusing everyone and anyone of "sexual assault" and "rape," she would be one of the least credible human beings in the world.

Hold on.... Was she the woman that sued McDonalds's because the coffee was hot?🤔

  24. by Curt_Anderson on February 4, 2024 11:55 pm
For starters, NOBODY is more litigious than Donald Trump. He is the king of filing frivolous lawsuits and falsely accusing people.

FYI, the McDonald's Coffee case is widely misunderstood.
McDonald's coffee was served at a temperature between 180 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit. McDonald's had long known that this was 20 to 30 degrees hotter than the coffee served at most other restaurants; in fact, this temperature range was indicated in its operations manual. In the 10 years before the case, more than 700 people who were scalded by coffee burns made claims against the company. But McDonald's never lowered the temperature of its coffee.

Because the car had no cup holders and a slanted dashboard, Stella Liebeck put the cup between her knees and removed the lid. As she did so, the slick Styrofoam cup flipped backward, dumping the scalding liquid onto her lap and saturating the cotton sweat suit she was wearing.

Her grandson Chris jumped out to help, but the near-boiling coffee was already searing her skin. By the time Chris was able to bring her to the emergency room, she had third-degree burns across her groin, thighs, genitalia, and buttocks. Stella Liebeck was badly injured.

Stella Liebeck spent seven days in the hospital. She spent another three weeks recovering at home, where her daughter traveled to take care of her.

Stella Liebeck's family initially asked McDonald's to cover her out-of-pocket expenses. This amounted to about $2,000 plus her daughter's lost wages. McDonald's offered $800.

The biggest thing is that you fell for the McDonalds joke so well...

And I didn't expect anything more from you than to say "bbbbbut, look at trumpster!"

This is the SAME FELONY she's talking about each time! And it's something she has severe issues with.

  26. by Indy! on February 6, 2024 12:54 pm

Posting long ass videos is the GOP's new form of info dumping. If you can't break it down into a few salient points yourself after watching the video - it's obvious there is nothing important in the video.

  27. by Indy! on February 6, 2024 1:01 pm

Let's turn the McDonald's thing around - let's say the coffee was sitting on the counter and some black or brown dude accidentally knocked it off the counter spilling it all over a six year old blue eyed white girl holding her Hello Kitty purse scalding her face. GUARANTEED the GOP would still be using this as a reason to outlaw black and brown people from McDonald's restaurants, there would be a GoFundMe site with $200K collected within a half hour and they'd be screaming for Ray Croc's head.

  28. by oldedude on February 6, 2024 6:02 pm
curt. as much as you defend the McDonalds thing. it's a bullshit case. That's what it boils down to.

curt. can you NOT believe that lawyers inject this kind of "BS" so the MSM catches it and runs your life? I don't think you actually believe this is a premeditated act. Wos... you need to work for a year in DC and see how things "really" work.

  31. by Indy! on February 8, 2024 10:01 am

OD - I disagree absolutely with you as well... nothing works in DC.

  32. by Indy! on February 8, 2024 10:07 am

Regarding the McDonald's case, last I heard the woman's award was reduced quite a bit (not going to research it - but someone can if they like and get back to us). But so far as the case itself? Perfectly legitimate. McDonald's is lucky MY scenario (putting aside the black/brown part 😉) didn't happen because that would have REALLY cost them a fortune. Not only did the woman have serious injuries - there are other factors involved like no other restaurant feeling the need to serve dangerously hot coffee all the time. I've burnt my tongue many times on their coffee simply because I'm used to coffee being served at SAFE temperatures (like most food and most restaurants). True story - the few times I even go to a McD is for breakfast and the Egg McMuffin (which are not as good as they used to be, btw) - and they always ask me if I want coffee with that. I always say "No - you serve it too hot" just to F with them. 😌
