Trump also has substantial awareness of his daughter’s business too. James Comer should investigate this immediately!

(Los Angeles Times)Eric Trump and his older brother, Donald Trump Jr., run the Trump Organization, which conducts business — and takes in tens of millions of dollars annually — around the globe and is still owned by the president. The company is forging ahead with projects in Ireland, India, Indonesia and Uruguay, and is licensing the Trump name in such turbulent areas as Turkey and the Philippines.

Their sister Ivanka is a senior advisor to the president. She kept her international fashion business going for 18 months after she was given a loosely defined White House portfolio that includes interacting with heads of state and working with domestic and international corporate chiefs on economic programs.

I couldn't help but notice that HtS and OD were so indignant and angered by Trump's substantial knowledge of his children's business dealings and familiarity with their business partners that they are both speechless in their outrage.

Jared (or whatever Ivanka's delicate husband's name is) got something like $6B to save his family from being bankrupted. Wonder what he had to turn over to the Saudis (or whatever middle east country it was) to get that much cash.

    Whataboutism.

(To be sung twice while washing hands:)

    Trump Trump Trump is bad.
    Nasty things Trump did.
    Carefully Carefully do we watch.
    Nuthin will be hid.

    *****

How does all of Trump's evil justify anything done by "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap?" You never splain that.

    HtS,
Because having knowledge of his children’s business dealings and familiarity with their business partners is not an example of Trump’s “evil”. That is true for me, Joe Biden, or any parent who knows what sort of work their children do, and who they work with.

Now, Trump probably lied when he claimed he put his businesses into a trust while president, promising he was not personally making business deals.

    You ain't that stoopid, Curt.

No one here is saying that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" knowing Hunter's business partners,... or even about Hunter's business dealings is evil.

The point is that Joe's been busted for lying about it... and, that justifies serious inquiry. In fact, the Constitution demands it!

    HtS,
Suffice to say you Wrong and mistaken, in every single sentence of your above comment. Most of it, I have already debunked and refuted. You added a new wrinkle, which is especially ridiculous. You said that if Biden lied (he did not) the constitution demands an inquiry. Can you imagine how democracy would grind to a halt if every time a president “lied“ there would be a congressional inquiry?

Even for average citizens, people who are not the president, lying is not a crime, unless the lie is said under oath, or in a few very specific circumstances like phoning in a false 911 call.

  7. by HatetheSwamp on January 29, 2024 9:13 am

    Curt,

How many times was Trump impeached?..., that filthy liar!

pb ain't suggesting that every time Joe lies about leading Civil Rights movements or ending Apartheid, or his wife being killed by a drunk driver that Congress delve. But, Hunter's under EFFINFederal indictment and Joe's been busted for lyin about what he knows about that.

This Impeachment Inquiry was approved by a vote of the House. That's a different matter.

Gosh, though. You are a d@ng Good German. I just wish I could think you're joshin about it.

  8. by Curt_Anderson on January 29, 2024 10:48 am
    HtS,
That makes no sense constitutionally or any other way. You are lucky I am not “a good German”. In 1939 Germany I'd be reporting you as feeble-minded and a threat to the gene pool.
