    Joe Biden has never been a silver tongued orator. Trump is a practiced con artist/grifter. The difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is that sometimes Joe Biden will say something and people might say “what did he say?” With Donald Trump they heard what he said but ask “did he really say that?”

    You're absolutely correct, Curt. That is exactly and undeniably what he said. Those are the exact words that came out of his mouth when he spoke them. That is a perfectly accurate quote of exactly what he said. Clear as a bell.

    Whatever he went on to say, he absolutely and with no question whatsoever spoke the words you quoted him saying as he said them. And on their face, those words do appear to be complete gibberish.


    But perhaps there is some possibility of truth in what he says? And he was only being accurate, although incoherently attempting to be metaphorical? Let's keep an open mind! We aren't MAGA Republicans after all.

    Perhaps this country is actually an "institute"...? And we just never realized it? Perhaps that's why he doesn't believe that the U.S. Constitution applies to him or America? It doesn't say anything in the Constitution about any "Institute of America", does it?

    ...And as many institutes occasionally find themselves, perhaps our institute is suffering under a powerful death penalty... foisted on The Institute of America by the left wing, Capitalism-hating Deep Swamp State, no doubt?

    ...And perhaps that death penalty metaphorically is akin to something like a costume that we desperately need, as a country, to metaphorically put on...? If we would only elect him as our leader, to metaphorically hold it for us so we can metaphorically put our arms through the metaphorical sleeves.....?

    Besides the fact that Trump is speaking gibberish before he finally spits out his plan to punish drug traffickers with the death penalty, it's an empty promise that only ignorant MAGA rubes would believe. File this next to Trump's promise that he'd build a 2000 mile long border wall "and Mexico will pay for it".

    First, if Trump were ever president again it's highly unlikely that Congress would make drug crimes subject to the death penalty at the federal level. Second, nearly all drug offenses are prosecuted at the state level.

    Getting past all that, there is no evidence that the death penalty is a deterrent to those who commit crimes.

    Then there is the Supreme Court: Kennedy v. Louisiana, 554 U.S. 407 (2008), is a landmark decision by the Supreme Court of the United States which held that the Eighth Amendment's Cruel and Unusual Punishments Clause prohibits the imposition of the death penalty for a crime in which the victim did not die and the victim's death was not intended.

    I EFFIN don't support Trump. I've been clear... and specific about that. But, what I've been noticing is that many people who support the Doddering Old Fool... including Curt... and EFFINyou... can't oppose Trump without lying. And, it's making a difference. Trump has never, ever done so well in presidential polls.

    Trump is currently up 3.5% over "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" [see link] and, pb's convinced that your inability to tell the truth about Trump is sumpthin moderates and independents are noticing. Keep it up. Despite all the Dem ballot harvesting and ballot curing and diddling with mail-in ballots, Trump just might win.

    Remember, po, if Trump loses the popular vote by 2%, it's likely that he wins the Electoral College.
