Two months ago, James Comer requested that Hunter Biden to appear in a closed door deposition OR in a public hearing before an open committee. Hunter Biden chose the public option, but then Republicans reneged on that offer, and insisted that he appear in a closed door deposition where the Republicans could leak portions his responses out of context as they have in the past.

Fast forward to today. Republicans were set to hold Hunter Biden in contempt for not appearing before them when lo and behold, Hunter Biden appears before them. So there’s Nancy Mace yelling at Hunter Biden that he is not appearing before them as he appears before them. I wonder how that paradoxical argument will play on the evening news?

    Trump cronies Steve Bannon, Peter Novato, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Jim Jordan of Ohio, Andy Biggs of Arizona and Mo Brooks of Alabama all ignored congressional subpoenas. I am probably forgetting a few.

    There's a difference between flipping them off and not answering. He showed up as a spectator which is not "appearing" before congress. AND some of those folks you mentioned did jail time because of not appearing, which I support.

    What I said is that Hunter DEFIED and DISRESPECTED congressional subpoenas.

    He pulled that stunt of appearing outside of the Capitol on the day he was subpoenaed. Now, this ridiculous dog and pony show! I think that the MAGA crowd is classless. But, no one in the Trump mob'd do this stuff. It makes the whole Swamp look ridiculous.

He said Hunter Biden put the Republican House Committee "on defense when they ought to be on offense" in their own "Trump orchestrated theatre". He likened Hunter's situation to Mark Meadow's who didn't appear when subpoenaed and faced no consequences by the DOJ for his non-appearance.
