Give authoritarianism the boot: don't support or vote for Trump and MAGA politicians! Remember, it matters that you have an informed opinion.

    🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔.....

So we vote for a party that wants to run every inch of your life. From cradle to grave. horrible health care, questionable rationed food, rationed fuel, horrible schools, criminals having more rights than the workers, work for free because you're too stupid to know what you want for all of these. Give up all your rights (they have control of what you say, what the news says, who to vote for, what the schools teach, jailed if you practice a religion (except if you're Jewish, then they complete the genocide in the former US).

I'm sure there are plenty more I can think of, especially since curt used old "Mother Russia Workers" graphics, which was a nice touch to add that insincerity). I'll vote ONE VOTE FOR THAT!🖕

Surely you're joshin. Both Swamp parties want to control people's lives.

    HtS,
it's a simplistic, overstated way of expressing it, but government does run people's lives. We all have rights balanced by restrictions. The alternative is anarchy. Our democratic choice of political parties and candidates is which rights and restrictions we prefer.

  7. by Curt_Anderson on December 11, 2023 2:36 pm
Indy, besides OD's claim of "horrible health care", I wonder where OD came up with "rationed food" (if food is being rationed, why are there so many fat people?), rationed fuel (I see a lot of gas guzzlers on the road), horrible schools (really? at least people can get a free public education), criminals having more rights than the workers (Donald Trump doesn't think so), work for free (what?)

  8. by oldedude on December 11, 2023 3:05 pm
These are all the things the dims want to do to the US. Do we do that now? No, only because we haven't given them the power. My question really is; Who are the REAL dictators? The ones that tell us that kids are the property of the state? The one's that want to control our movement via ecommerce, taking the power of buying from the consumer to the state? Notice in this instance, I always use the singular "STATE," not states. It won't be a republic anymore. That means the oligarchs can shop at stores you can't get in to. You have to be 1. a party member. 2. a high rank in the party. The higher the rank, the better stores you can shop at. The left have the dribbles off of that. It doesn't pay to work anymore. If you work hard, you don't get any more than the guy next to you that comes in stoned and screws up everything he touches. Inventions? not worth it. Capitalism? Non-existent.

    Nah.

That's why our constitution was immediately amended by the addition of a Bill of Rights establishing fundamental protections for citizens from governmental control.

    Duh!

  10. by Indy! on December 11, 2023 3:25 pm

Source it, OD. The only thing the Ds want is to continue to get elected and continue with their insider trading. They don't care about food or gas.

horrible schools (really? at least people can get a free public education)
Really? High School grads that can't read above a 4th grade level? And that dropped during the forced lockdowns of schools, thanks the Democratic Socialist Teachers Union.

How do U.S. students compare with their peers around the world? Recently released data from international math and science assessments indicate that U.S. students continue to rank around the middle of the pack, and behind many other advanced industrial nations.

One of the biggest cross-national tests is the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which every three years measures reading ability, math and science literacy and other key skills among 15-year-olds in dozens of developed and developing countries. The most recent PISA results, from 2015, placed the U.S. an unimpressive 38th out of 71 countries in math and 24th in science. Among the 35 members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which sponsors the PISA initiative, the U.S. ranked 30th in math and 19th in science.

criminals having more rights than the workers
    Stop Defending Yourselves, New Yorkers!
The city prosecutes another case of subway self-defense.

You may have heard of the latest installment in New York City’s new fad—arresting people for defending themselves and others against violent criminals on the city’s decrepit subway system.

Last week, while riding a northbound J train through once-posh Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 20-year-old Jordan Williams and his girlfriend were accosted by Devictor Ouedraogo, a 36-year-old ex-con who had served three and a half years in prison for an attempted robbery. After completing his term, Ouedraogo was released to the custody of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), suggesting that he is or was an illegal immigrant.

According to eyewitnesses, Ouedraogo was verbally and physically harassing other passengers in the subway car before approaching Williams and his girlfriend, who remains unnamed and has not commented on the incident. After Ouedraogo propositioned his girlfriend, Williams verbally warned him to back off. Ouedraogo allegedly responded by punching both Williams and his girlfriend in the face.

In what sounds like a legal exercise of the right to self-defense under New York law, Williams then reportedly rose to protect himself, his girlfriend, and others from Ouedraogo, who fought back. During the altercation, Williams pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed Ouedraogo, who stumbled out of the subway at the next stop. He received medical attention but later died at a hospital. As with Jordan Neely, the homeless drug addict with a criminal record who died after being restrained in a chokehold by Daniel Penny last month, no autopsy of Ouedraogo has been released, fanning speculation that the results could indicate serious drug abuse.

Williams and his girlfriend continued their subway ride, but NYPD officers apprehended them at a station down the line shortly afterward. Williams was arrested and charged with manslaughter and “criminal possession of a weapon.” (Knives are forbidden on city transit, though this has not stopped knife incidents from increasing 126 percent over last year.)

Murder charge against NYC bodega worker Jose Alba is DA Bragg’s latest controversy
The murder charge that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed against bodega worker Jose Alba is the latest outrage to result from the progressive agenda the top prosecutor unveiled after taking office in January, current and former city cops said Thursday.

Ex-cop Eugene O’Donnell, a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, said the case amounted to “an agenda crime” being pursued by Bragg — noting that Alba “was given little alternative” when ex-con Austin Simon attacked him behind the counter of his Hamilton Heights store Friday night.

“This is an office that is chock-a-block full of screwy interpretations and bizarre agendas,” O’Donnell said.

“The DA himself is surrounded by people who think, ‘Behind every profitable business is a crime.'”

A veteran city cop fumed, “So, the guy who was defending himself is in Rikers and the guys who repeatedly do the crimes are on the street?”

A quick note on this. On July 19, 2022, after watching the tape,
A Manhattan judge dismissed a murder charge Tuesday against a bodega worker who fatally stabbed a man earlier this month in what the worker’s legal team argued was a case of self-defense. Alba, 61, was sent to Rikers Island on a whopping $250,000 bail — half of what prosecutors with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office had requested at his arraignment Saturday night, claiming the worker was a flight risk because of a planned trip to the Dominican Republic next week.

Do you not agree that people accused of murder as well murder victims deserve due process?

Grand Jury Declines to Indict Man in Fatal Subway Stabbing
Jordan Williams acted in self-defense, his lawyer said. He had argued with the victim, Devictor Ouedraogo, on a J train, resulting in the fifth killing on the subway this year.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a motion to dismiss murder charges against Jose Alba, a Harlem bodega worker who fatally stabbed a man after he jumped behind the counter and allegedly attacked Alba.

Do you not agree that people accused of murder as well murder victims deserve due process?

Short answer. When someone is trying to kill you, everyone has the legal right to protect themselves. To not believe that, you're the sheep that leads the flock to the wolves. And useless in any society that can exist.

I know you don't believe anyone has the "right" to protect the lives of themselves and others. So that's when your statement turns moronic. Mr Alba was fighting for his life from a convicted violent criminal. Now I know that you believe that it's all about CRT and the attacker is just a "misunderstood" guy that happens to have a rap sheet of violent history, so the asshole who's trying to murder Alba over some stupid stuff should have lived and Alba should have allowed himself to get stabbed more and to let himself be murdered.

I'm just going to call bullshit on that from both a moral and legal perspective. Why are murderers in NYC (et.al.) out without bail before the reports have been done, and Alba goes to Rikers? That's just plain STOOPID. You have a right to protect your life and others (depending on the state). But ALL states you can self-protect if you're being attacked with deadly force. Again, your "concept" of law is off the Cracker Jack's toy.

Give authoritarianism the boot: don't support or vote for Trump and MAGA politicians! Remember, it matters that you have an informed opinion.

So I've tried to stay mum on this, but it's too funny! You're using NAZI/Russian propaganda style posters to draw people to Make America Great Again! So in fact, your saying "be informed! be a MAGA."

And you think YOU have an "informed opinion?" The thread topic, once you actually read it, is just plain stoopid.
