Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly told his supporters he will serve as their “retribution” if he is elected again in 2024.

But in a Fox News town hall moderated by Sean Hannity on Tuesday night, Trump sidestepped a question about whether he would abuse power or seek retribution against political enemies.

“Do you in any way have any plans whatsoever if reelected president to abuse power, to break the law, to use the government to go after people?” Hannity asked.

Trump did not directly answer the question and instead pointed to his own four indictments and dismissed the 91 criminal charges he faces as “made up charges.”

Later, Hannity again pressed Trump, asking, “Under no circumstances, you are promising America tonight you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?”

“Except for day one. I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill,” Trump replied.

    Curt,

I watched your CNN clip. What Trump said is that he'd do what "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" string pullers do...

...and, then, only on Day One.

You, of all people here, are 100% on board with what the the Doddering Old Fool's gang has done and is doing.

    So, what's your problem!!!!!?

  2. by Ponderer on December 6, 2023 6:46 am

    "Except for day one." -Trump

    Yeah. Uh huh. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure...

He's promises that he's only going to put just the tip in. Just a little bit... Barely at all! And then he'll pull it right out again real quick before he ejaculates.

And his dutiful defenders like Hate here lap it up like a dog on vomit.

If Trump is reelected, he will destroy the Constitution and our entire system of government. And his pig-ignorant gullible lackeys like Hate will tell us, "Well... I guess our entire system of government needed to be destroyed...".

I will make a prediction right here... Right now...:

Hate will find it absolutely impossible to present an example of a single real thing that Biden has actually done and is doing that he is talking about.

I think he's trying to equate Trump's foundational dictator proclivities to something Biden has done. Like Biden is the real dictator here or something.

I know he was just reflexively farting out his ass with that. But I'm real curious to see if he actually had any specific thought in his mind when he said it. It's so common for him not to when he's just trying to level the playing field. He just blurts out baseless nonsense without even thinking, or expecting to be called on it.

Lead- do you mean three different attempts at charging him with felonies? Or chickenshitting Mike Flynn and threatening him with ruining his and his family's lives? Or sending agents into catholic churches to make sure they're not subversive to the pedojoe regime? Or threatening parents when they believe that parents are responsible for their children (which the law also agrees on)? And then, imposing the PATRIOT Act terrorism features on them (which include warentless entry, wiretaps, trap and trace, making otherwise illegal search and seizure on their bank accounts, and many more things you and I enjoy by the constitution).

And then lets go in to , lying to judges about known false information they used against a US person in the courts. Falsifying sworn information and testimony in court cases to pursue political gains?

    You mean things like that?

    Yup.

Thanks, OD. But. Y'know. Being a consumer of so-called "news" chosen by po specifically to fuel the flames of the preferences and prejudices that po brings to each moment of life,...

...I have it even money that po's ignernt of at least half of what you listed.

Of course, po being po, we'll get no honesty. So we'd never be able to settle the bet...short of a lie detector.

  6. by Indy! on December 6, 2023 12:01 pm

According to Stormy Daniels, the "tip" would be the entire thing in Trump's case. 😂

  7. by Ponderer on December 6, 2023 12:09 pm

So you guys are okay that Trump won't rule out being a dictator? Really?

Is he afraid of bursting into flames if he were to verbally rule out being a dictator, as pretty much anyone else who in all history ever served as or ran for president instantly would have? As big of a liar as he is, he simply couldn't bring himself to utter that lie?

Plus he's already been telling everyone what a dictator he wants to be for them. And his people sure seem to loves them some dictator.

You guys are seriously okay with the idea of a dictator being president? If America can't be the conservative utopia that you so dearly desire, then fuckit? Just fuckit up the ass with a red-hot fireplace poker?

  8. by Ponderer on December 6, 2023 12:12 pm

    Good'n, Indy! 🤣

  9. by HatetheSwamp on December 6, 2023 12:20 pm

Trump couldn't be any more a dictator than the Doddering Old Fool's been.

But, the point of this thread is that Trump has promised to be every bit the dictator that the String-pullers are. No more, no less.

That, my SS mates, is life in the Swamp.

    No more. No less.

It didn't take long for that prediction to be proven true. See post #9 above.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on December 6, 2023 12:44 pm

    1. Baha. Did you read the masterpiece in #8?

    2. Curt, po only knows how to seek "news" that fuels the flame of the preferences and prejudices po brings from place to place. My thanks to OD notwithstanding, this is a "pearls before swine" for ol pb...as a matter of principle.

  12. by Curt_Anderson on December 6, 2023 12:58 pm
    HtS,
I have no idea why you think #8 is a "masterpiece". I doubt Ponderer would say it is.

As for your second point, is that supposed to disprove Ponderer's accurate prediction? If so, it's a failed attempt.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on December 6, 2023 1:12 pm

It's supposed to prove that, over the years, I've learned that po only consumes woke, white electric limousine lovin progressive Swampcult propaganda. po despises any truth that challenges imbedded hate.

    Pearls before swine...its epitome.

  14. by Curt_Anderson on December 6, 2023 1:36 pm
    HtS,
There are lists of the various types of faulty arguments. They include, False dilemma, Slippery slope, Straw man, Ad hominem, Appeal to authority, False analogy, Circular reasoning, Non sequitur, et cetera.

I congratulate you on coming up with a brand new faulty argument: my-pearl-of-an-example-is-so-good-that-you-swine-don't-deserve-to-hear-it.

"Curt, po only knows how to seek "news" that fuels the [blah blah nonsense blah lies blah blah projection blah]" -Hate

Bill, I seek news that contains reality. Things that are shown to be true. Things with evidence backing them up. Corroborated details. Actual journalism.

Don't be too hard on yourself that you can't understand what the hell I'm talking about. I really don't expect you to.

"It didn't take long for that prediction to be proven true. See post #9 above." -Curt

Right? It's really not that hard to peg him anymore. Transparent as glass. He's so much like Trump in that way.

  16. by oldedude on December 6, 2023 1:58 pm
So you guys are okay that Trump won't rule out being a dictator? Really?

Absolutely not. What I trust is something liberals don't understand. Separation of powers. Like I've said before. ALL (recent) presidents have their EOs blocked by the courts. Same thing with laws. trumpster tried both and had a mix of wins and losses. pedojoe tried the same thing with the same results. Pedojoes were interesting though, much like newscum's. They were violating the bill of rights in many cases. That tells me they are shooting for the dictatorship since they knowingly attack the fundamentals of the constitution, not some off the wall law.

The other thing about trumpster. So many people are ready to (actually) assassinate him, they'll keep him in line. Welcome to 1. actually understanding how the system works. 2. 6th grade civics. 3. the reality of the situation.

Like I've told curt. I was hoping the dims could get all their "stuff" in one or two piles that he wouldn't be a nuisance anymore. He'd just go on doing the thing he did before he considered politics. That would be the best thing. But again, the dims are an epic fail.

  17. by HatetheSwamp on December 6, 2023 2:44 pm

Bill, I seek news that contains reality. Things that are shown to be true.

po. We've been posting at each other for more than a decade.

    Bullfernerner.

No one here is more committed to filling their brain with propaganda than you.

"What I trust is something liberals don't understand. Separation of powers." -od

Well actually, that is something that Trump doesn't understand. If he puts people in charge of key powers as he has said he will do, people who will do whatever he tells them to, then separation of powers will be an historic point of nostalgia.

He's saying he will be a dictator on day one, od. He's already made one attempt and is already saying he will definitely do it this time. And this time he's had practice.

  19. by oldedude on December 6, 2023 10:01 pm
Well actually, that is something that Trump doesn't understand.
Or that neither of you understand. I was agreeing with you and you choose to go total bitch to me. Fine.

You don't understand this either. You missed the entire subject of my post. No worries. butt your ought to go to nightschool to catch up on 6th grade civics.

jjpo- So what happened the first time? did all the things that were told to you go through? Did he turn into Hitler? Did he do the things that all your libtard media told you would happen? WTF didn't you move out of country? I don't get it. You hate this cuntry so much, you(all) didn't move. Even to Mexico. And canada didn't "welcome" you. So WTF? You were "forced" to live here? I just don't get it.

  21. by HatetheSwamp on December 7, 2023 3:47 am

I congratulate you on coming up with a brand new faulty argument: my-pearl-of-an-example-is-so-good-that-you-swine-don't-deserve-to-hear-it.

Thanks for the praise but, really, it's not me. This is all po.

I've been saying for far more than a decade:

    1. Kierkegaard is a hero of mine and that taking his Leap of Faith and embracing, for myself, his assertion that subjectivity is truth is a central aspiration of my life.

    2. po hops about, daily, taking that Leap of Faith and has left objectivity so far in the rear view mirror, in favor of subjectivity, that objectivity ain't a possibility. However, for the Leap of Faith into one's subjectivity as truth to have meaning, one must possess self-awareness. Sadly. EFFINtragically, po possesses not one scentilla of self-awareness. Many has been the time I've tried to give examples. po? EFFINalways draws a new line in the sand. Years ago, I announced that I'm done.

However, I endorsed OD's fact rich reply. Take his as mine. #8!

And, admit it. Your Holy Trinity hasn't reported this stuff and you, too, are ignert about it. Eh?

    Baha.

"So what happened the first time? did all the things that were told to you go through?" -olde dude

Not all of them. He tried, but he was stopped for the most part. But he learned a lot to do better on his next attempt.

"Did he turn into Hitler?" -olde dude

A very early version of him. Sure. Albeit not as successful. But he learned a lot to do better on his next attempt.

"Did he do the things that all your libtard media told you would happen?" -olde dude

Not all of them. But he sure as hell tried to do them and was fortunately thwarted. But he learned a lot to do better on his next attempt.

"WTF didn't you move out of country?" -olde dude

Because it would have been too expensive and complicated. We almost chose Costa Rica, but it was easier and way cheaper to move to Tucson and we absolutely love it here. We feel we couldn't have made a better choice.

"I don't get it." -olde dude

That's okay. We're used to you not getting most of pretty much anything. We forgive you, olde dude.
