Minutes after Trump said he wouldn’t run and hide, he runs and hides.

I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

The lowest since the middle of the effin Obama years.

Face it: Electing a former truck driver President was just plain ridiculous. But, don't blame me, I voted for Trump.

It's stupid to blame that kind of thing on the president, even if the president were Trump. Either you're stupid or you were just trying to get a reaction, which is what trolls do.

    Donna,

Biden's gang has taken a number of actions to reverse the policies and practices of Trump's administration.

    Two questions about that:

    1. Are you suggesting that these changes have had no import at all?

    2. Are you suggesting that the public is not, rightly or wrongly, connecting increased inflation/higher gas prices, etc., with Biden's leadership or the lack of it?

I've observed, several times in the past, that you seem to be conveniently naíve at times. My guess is that you are doing that again.

Connect something that Biden has done to decreased consumer sentiment.

    Donna,

    2. Are you suggesting that the public is not, rightly or wrongly, connecting increased inflation/higher gas prices, etc., with Biden's leadership or the lack of it?

Do you understand what the noun "sentiment" means?

A significant factor in which direction an economy is headed has to do with what's in people's heads. Perception, in the economy, is always a half step away from becoming reality.

As time goes on, the populace's perception of Joe is increasingly negative...on the border. On crime. On foreign policy. On COVID. And, on the economy itself.

People know that Joe thinks he used to drive truck. They know that he's stumbled walking into Air Force One. Joe's physically frail and declining mentally. AND, gas prices are rising. Joe's now begging OPEC to sell us more oil. And, he's requested that Russia be polite in how it uses Ransomware against us. You get into grocery stores. You know, as does everyone else, that the weekly food and TP bill is shooting upward.

I could argue that things Joe's gang done caused this but we'd argue back and forth. But, that's far from the point.

What's clear to me that Consumer Sentiment just fell off the table as an indication that people are unhappy with the leadership of that ex trucker from Delaware.

I'm not interested in your opinions. Show me data that support your contention.

Interesting, Donna. I am interested in YOUR thoughts.

Are you so poorly informed that you are unaware that approval of Joe's handling of the border, etc. is declining? Rapidly?

If you need it, I can probably also dig up a link to Dick and Jane, Sally and Spot stories. "Run, Spot, run. Run, run, run."

Do you really not know this stuff? Do I have to be that remedial?

    Donna,

This didn't copy well but all the data is all there. As of August 10.

I know that po says that you don't get all your news and views from Rachel, but if you aren't aware that the shine is, very quickly, wearing off of the Biden presidency, you need to expand the number of your news sources.

    Anyway,...

2.-5. Do you approve or disapprove of the way Joe Biden is handling the following issues?
    [RANDOMIZE]
    Approve Disapprove (Don’t know)

    The coronavirus pandemic
    7-10 Aug 21 54% 42 5
    19-22 Jun 21 64% 34 2
    22-25 May 21 64% 34 3
    18-21 Apr 21 58% 34 8
    6-9 Dec 20^ 60% 35 5
^Wording: “Do you approve or disapprove of the way President-elect Joe Biden has responded to the
    coronavirus pandemic?”

    The economy
    7-10 Aug 21 47% 49 4
    19-22 Jun 21 51% 47 2
    22-25 May 21 51% 46 3
    18-21 Apr 21 48% 42 10

    Crime
    7-10 Aug 21 39% 51 10

    Immigration
    7-10 Aug 21 35% 57 8
    19-22 Jun 21 41% 54 5
    22-25 May 21 38% 57 5
    18-21 Apr 21 34% 52 13

Joe is under water on the economy, waaaaay under on crime and immigration and sinking and barely above water on COVID.

  8. by Donna on August 14, 2021 9:55 am
I'm not seeing a significant fluctuation in those percentages.

As much as I despise Trump, I never tried to hold him responsible for things he wasn't responsible for, like the health of the economy.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on August 14, 2021 10:04 am

    You didn't.

But, honestly, Donna, are you suggesting that, when the economy is in great shape that incumbents find it easy to be reelected...

...and, when it's tanking it's a bad time for people in power?

People who are news junkies are a rarity.

The Consumer Sentiment Index isn't about you. Sheeeeeeeesh.
