Siena College Research Institute, Presidential Expert Poll of 2022
The Siena College Research Institute released their seventh poll results on June 22, 2022. The best and worst 10% remain unchanged from their 2018 poll (top five: F. D. Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington, T. Roosevelt, Jefferson; bottom five: Andrew Johnson, Buchanan, Trump, Harding, Pierce).

A year into his term, Joe Biden entered the ranking in the second quartile, at No. 19 out of 45 [Reagan is No. 18, GHW Bush is No. 20]. Among recent presidents, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama moved up in the rankings, while George W. Bush and Donald Trump moved down, though part of the downward shift was due to the addition of a new president to the poll; counting from the other direction, Trump remained unchanged at third place from last.

Incidentally, Joe Biden leads Trump in the two latest polls reported by RCP:
Economist/YouGov 11/25 - 11/27 42 44 Biden +2
Morning Consult 11/24 - 11/26 42 43 Biden +1

Biden will always trump the Donald - which is like being the tallest man in a room full of (mental) midgets - however he will also drop dramatically from the #19 spot once the recency bias wears off and those folks take a good hard look at his "accomplishments" from a historical distance.

Trust Indy on this one (like all things). 😉

    Indy,
I doubt that Biden will have a significant drop in his rankings if any.

You've bemoaned for decades that politicians, especially presidents don't accomplish much. So whatever accomplishments Biden achieves, no matter how you minimize them, will by comparison keep him in the top 20 or so of presidential rankings.

Trump is likely to be the only president to reduce his presidential ranking with his disgraceful post-presidency activities...and he's already scraping the bottom.

I haven't seen the list, but we add presidents on a regular basis and there are already at least 18 the historians think are better so I would have to disagree. Biden has done nothing of historical import so far and I doubt he will if he's (lucky enough to be) re-elected. I bet you can't even name something important Biden has done outside of your usual D talking points like "he distributed the vax to more people than Trump".

Of course Joe Biden's accomplishments are D talking points. A quick search should provide you with a list. See the link...

You've copied and pasted it to this board many times, Curt. There is absolutely nothing that deserves the attention of a real president on the list (much less my attn). If there was? You would have simply posted the item yourself. 😂
