Jenna Ellis is a former member of Trump's "elite strike force team" which tried to overturn Trump's election defeat by Biden.
Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro plead guilty at the eleventh hour just before their trials were about to start. Both had requested speedy trials. The other defendants including Jenna Ellis were not scheduled to go to trial anytime soon. March is the most likely time for their trial date. Ellis wasn't facing an imminent court date.
So why did Ellis tearfully plead guilty now? Maybe she because she is finally disenchanted with Trump who hasn't lifted a finger to help with legal bills. Maybe it's finally dawned on her that Biden won the election fair and square.
Their romance is over. "I simply can't support him for elected office again," Ellis said. "Why I have chosen to distance is because of that frankly malignant narcissistic tendency to simply say that he's never done anything wrong."
If any of Trump's fellow defendants are likely to flip and testify against Trump, Giuliani and the other conspirators who attempted to steal an election, it's Jenna Ellis.
