(CNN)Former Donald Trump attorney Sidney Powell has pleaded guilty in the Georgia election subversion case, one day before her trial was set to start.

As part of her guilty plea, Powell is admitting her role in the January 2021 breach of election systems in rural Coffee County, Georgia. With the help of local GOP officials, a group of Trump supporters accessed and copied information from the county’s election systems in hopes of somehow proving that the election was rigged against Trump.

Fulton County prosecutors are recommending a sentence of six years probation. Powell will also be required to testify at future trials, write an apology letter to the citizens of Georgia, pay nearly $9,000 in restitution and fines and turn over documents.

    Good point! I forgot about that lawsuit. It’s hard to keep up on the Trump crime organization’s trials, and court cases. She is likely the first of an avalanche of “flippers” who will eventually incriminate Trump.

    I agree with SelectSmart alum Sean Shealy:

    She was always a psychopath. She hoped to ride Trump to great power. But she'll happily throw him to the sharks if she sees it going the other way.

    Trump's strength is that he surrounds himself with psychopaths. But it is also his weakness. They could have helped him destroy America -- but they can also help destroy him. They will do whichever serves their interests. She clearly sees which way the wind blows.

    Andy McCarthy is the Baghdad Bob of MAGA-world. Fani Willis is pursuing a RICO case with one defendant in her sights. It doesn't matter if Powell gets reduced charges. Willis has recorded Powell's testimony that undoubtedly implicates others higher up on the food chain---that includes Trump.

    Here is another reason these guilty pleas are bad news for the other defendants including Donald Trump. Because Powell and Chesebro won't have trials, the prosecution won't have to tip their hand as to their prosecution strategy. That leaves the remaining defendants in the dark, but the prosecution knows whatever Powell and Chesebro confessed to.

    So nobody is going to jail. Hmmmm... guess Indy was right again. But I guess an apology to letter to the residents of one of the 50 states is punishment enough for trying to subvert the Constitution and a presidential election. 🤔

    I wouldn't bet that nobody is going to jail in these cases where Trump is a defendant. The criminal trials haven't even started.

    The rest of us aren't as used to looking to others to be told how to think, Bill. It may come naturally to you not to have an original thought ever enter your head without it being fed to you. But it's not natural for people who are used to being able to think for themselves. Like Indy! and the rest of us can and do.

    Indy! wasn't ever stupidly and willfully pig-ignorant enough to ever be suckered into voting for Trump. Let alone twice. So he's got you there, Bill. Don't worry. You are still the undisputed King of the MAGA Hatted "Swamp" Haters. One of Trump's best and most loyal and gullible foot soldiers.
