Former President Donald Trump is the star of a fiery trial opening in New York today that may shine a light on how much money the real estate mogul turn politician is really worth.

In a civil trial that's expected last three months, lawyers will try to determine how much Trump and his companies will be penalized for the fraud. Last week, a New York judge ruled that he committed fraud for years while building his real estate empire

Actually it angers me that the state of NY allowed him to get away with such blatant lawbreaking for so long. It makes me wonder who else is still getting away with what Trump has been doing for decades.

I can not get close to imaging what it's like for you TDSers to have Trump living rent free in your minds!

    Baha.

  3. by Ponderer on October 3, 2023 7:13 am

You may not understand this, Bill. But you're projecting again. We are merely reacting to current legal events surrounding a former president who has been indicted for committing many dozens of felonies. A newsworthy event of rather historical magnitude. Trump controls no real estate in our brains. We're just entertained by watching his circus. And it's a heck of a show I gotta say.

You on the other hand are the one under constant mental control by the orange felon. You have bought and swallowed his every lie and twisting of reality he's ever uttered. You have supported and defended him through every crime he has committed, regardless of the mountains of evidence against him. You are lost to him in vehemently believing and defending the warped and self serving version of reality that he has pounded into in your skull. You will stand for no casting of aspersions onto your Orange Lord and Master. Every accusation against him is instantly false and baseless to you and worth nothing more than a brainless BWAAH HAHAHA.

He's got you and millions of other weak-minded individuals thinking and believing everything that he wants you to believe and think. He's got you all lapping up his flaming bullshit like a quickly melting ice cream cone on a hot day.

He's not just in your head, Bill. He's controlling it from the inside at the cost of your ability for rational thought and logical consideration. Everything you think and do regarding him goes through a filter that he has placed in your head and you willingly accepted.

We're just watching a show, Bill. But you are a member of the cast! A cast of millions. You are an active participant... an extra in the show that Trump is putting on. And what a show you're giving us, Bill.

    Two thumbs up! 👍👍

  6. by HatetheSwamp on October 3, 2023 7:52 am

    po,

    isle,

I despise Trump. I support Ron DeSantis for President...still.

I'll note what I posted in another thread. People of your ilk are doing what I thought to be impossible...turning Trump into a sympathetic figure.

The polls show that. He's caught up to Biden and now leads him in head to head polling. Extraordinary!

  7. by Ponderer on October 4, 2023 7:32 am

Bill, for the love of God, you aren't running for anything! You don't have to be controlled by this unspoken terror you harbor against calling Trump out for what he is and what he has done. You don't have a constituency that you will lose if you are seen telling the truth about him. You aren't going to lose a reelection by not supporting and defending every crime he commits. You are terrified for no reason. Go ahead and tell the truth. It's not going to hurt you!

I am curious though. When you said, "People of your ilk are doing what I thought to be impossible...turning Trump into a sympathetic figure.", how exactly do you think that is happening?

When you said, "People of your ilk are doing what I thought to be impossible...turning Trump into a sympathetic figure.", how exactly do you think that is happening?

Check out the RCP and 538 poll averages. It's simple math.

  9. by Ponderer on October 4, 2023 8:13 am

Unless one of those polls asked, "Does the Justice department going after trump for just a few of his assorted felonies make you feel sympathetic for him?", you have not answered my question. Those polls do not verify your assertion. They don't explain why people are choosing Trump over Biden at this time.

I'll try asking again. How exactly do you think that Trump being held responsible for his crimes makes him "sympathetic"? It's just that people don't generally feel sympathetic towards chronic felons. So how is it that you think they are feeling that way now?

  10. by HatetheSwamp on October 4, 2023 8:16 am

    None so blind...

  11. by Ponderer on October 4, 2023 8:24 am

Bill, you made a completely asinine assertion and I simply asked you to explain the logic of it. How your assertion makes any sense at all. Given the fact that people don't generally feel "sympathetic" towards criminals, how is Trump's criminality and being held accountable for it helping him?

Are we wrong in assuming that you even know what you are talking about the vast majority of the time? Should we not expect you to be able to explain the asinine nonsense you blabber in here? Should we just take it as the incoherent ramblings of your demented mind and not expect it to make any sense?

  12. by HatetheSwamp on October 4, 2023 11:01 am

It's that he's, according to the Legal Goobers, accused without justification that seems to cause people of a moderate and independent spirit to think kindly of him.

  13. by Ponderer on October 4, 2023 1:42 pm

How is their being wrong a defense supporting you being wrong?

"Accused without justification"...??? That is both an asinine thing for anyone with a law degree to say, it's also an asinine thing for anyone to believe. The evidence is 100% against such nonsense.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on October 5, 2023 8:10 am

Are we wrong in assuming that you even know what you are talking about the vast majority of the time?

I only know what recent polls reveal about moderates and independents and their thinking about Trump...and, the Doddering Old Fool, too.

    Mathematical reality.

    Sorry, there, po.

"I only know what recent polls reveal about [...]" -Hate

No room left in your brain for anything else, eh?

Well... it is nearly solid bone in there, so...

  17. by HatetheSwamp on October 5, 2023 10:15 am

    po,

pb'd be happy to see your interpretation of the data. Mine is, admittedly, only one way to understand it. Many others share my interpretation. I know that.

    But, please...enlighten me...heck, us.

  18. by Ponderer on October 6, 2023 6:54 am

"Mine is, admittedly, only one way to understand it." -Hate

Of course. That's my point. There is simply so much bone in your head that there's no room left in your skull for more than one thought at a time or more than one way to look at anything. It leaves you with no room left in your mind to change it if evidence arises to the contrary of your belief. I doubt that you have ever approached a situation in your life without first deciding how you are going to understand it. You are the most single-minded, willfully ignorant person I have ever known. And just because there are others as willfully ignorant and willing to believe flat-out lies as you are doesn't mean that you aren't all still wrong. But then there's no room left in your bone-filled head for that piece of insight to ever spark in there either.

So I tried, Bill. But don't be too surprised if this doesn't "enlighten" you. Enlightenment requires a willfulness to observe relevant data and change one's thinking appropriately. It requires a lot of acreage in an open mind to do that and you are absolutely devoid of even a square centimeter to work with.
