“My political opponent has hit me with a barrage of weak lawsuits, including D.A., A.G., and others, which require massive amounts of my time & money to adjudicate,” Trump complained on Truth Social. “Resources that would have gone into Ads and Rallies, will now have to be spent fighting these Radical Left Thugs in numerous courts throughout the Country. I am leading in all Polls, including against Crooked Joe, but this is not a level playing field. It is Election Interference, & the Supreme Court must intercede.”

Has he run any ads? I bet the rallies pay for themselves with tshirt sales and other merchandising. That said, I would not be surprised at all if the Supreme Clowns tried to step in and save him. They have shown time and time again they are nothing but sock puppets for corporate America who want as much divisiveness and gov't deadlock as possible.

I'm on Truth Social. I follow OrangeMan. I couldn't find this Truth. Hmmmm.

    HtS,
You won’t find the truth there.

  4. by Ponderer on August 4, 2023 1:49 pm

Oh yeah. The trial has got to be televised.

Even Trump's lawyers want it televised.

  5. by Indy! on August 4, 2023 1:49 pm

Too bad Trump is so horrible at business. It appears Leon Musk is purposely trying to tank Twitter (excuse me... "X"... snicker). If Trump had one business-oriented bone in his body he would be in a perfect position to knockoff "X" off with his siily "X" knockoff.

See what I did there? 😉

All of us bring our preferences and prejudices to every moment of our lives. A televised Trump inquisition may very well cause riots.

Oh you'd love it to not be televised, so that Fox can "report" to you whatever manner of bullshit and spin it wants to about what happened.

There appears to be a large majority of people on both sides wanting it to be televised. You're in the minority again, Bill.

I dunno, po but I guess maybe I have more of a life than do you.

Back to the topic. SCOTUS "may" get their chance. in a couple of years. Other than that, trumpster needs to wait just like every other issue that goes through the courts. Thusly, I'm not getting bent out of shape about this. It's just white noise at this point.

I honestly don't care, po, but my guess is that you'd hate having to watch the assertions, unchallenged in your beloved indictment, be cross-examined and for Trump's lawyers to make his case.

That happens in a trial you know, ain't?

    No doubt.

Anyone who doesn't have this back condition I have has more of a life than I do. Fuckit's bad this morning.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on August 6, 2023 8:37 am

I sympathize. I had a "SPECT Scan" on my back a couple of months ago. I'd never even heard of that before the doctor ordered it.

I have three vertebrae that are in bad shape and arthritis through my whole back.

The doctor ordered Meloxicam, which is free on my Medicare Advantage plan. It's a strong NSAID...AKA Mobic. It helps some. I do PT exercises every day.

    Still,...

  13. by Ponderer on August 6, 2023 9:11 am

I recently had Radiofrequency Ablation, where they stick these wired up needles into your spine to deaden certain nerves. $2,400 even-with-insurance later, no help at all, or so little I can't even tell anymore. I'm now on Gabapentin and Cyclobensaprene, which are helping a bit. But the side effects are that it turns your brain into mush. My short term memory is forshit.

An MRI showed two degenerated disks and massive arthritis around that area putting pressure on my spinal cord, plus the sciatica I've had in that area too. The next thing to try apparently is steroid injections. I'm putting that off until our bank account builds up a bit more.

I'd love to be able to do physical therapy, but the pain is just too much. And trying to do it makes it even worse. I used to walk a half hour every morning, but I can't even do that anymore. I'm even having to use a handicap placard when the parking lot is too full. I only break out the cane when I know I'm going to be standing in a line.

It's all those decades working bent over those huge tables in my old business and then at the sign shop. Lifting 4'x 8' sheets of acrylic and plywood and aluminum. And thatfucking router table. The thousands of hours I spent bent over that router table.

Well, at least this back condition is something that my entire working career left me with.

Retiring with a bad back is like going to Disneyland in an iron lung.

  14. by HatetheSwamp on August 7, 2023 7:47 am

My doctor wanted to do an ablation but I refused. THANKS FOR THE $2,400 INFO. I'm sure that we have different insurance, but still... I knew it would cost, but oy! No one I know has gotten any benefit from it anyway.

What the PT does is strengthen my core muscles which helps a ton when a vertebrae pops out of place. I do it a minimum of a half hour a day. I get a nice endorphin rush out of it.

  15. by Ponderer on August 7, 2023 7:53 am

I just took a very short walk. First time in weeks that I've tried such a feat. Maybe ten or twelve minutes. God how I used to love walking. It was my favorite form of meditation. There was nothing at all enjoyable or meditative about it this morning. I never felt this exhausted and in pain after the longest walk I have ever taken. And I am probably going to pay dearly for it this afternoon.

But I'll give it another go tomorrow...

  16. by HatetheSwamp on August 7, 2023 8:01 am

Same here on the walking. Most days, these days, I go for a 10-15 minute walk. Often, the pain is excruciating by the end.

  17. by Donna on August 7, 2023 8:09 am

I'm sorry you're having to deal with excruciating back pain, too, Hts.

It seems like most people I know who are our age have back problems. I have a back problem too (missed 4 weeks of work in 2021 because of it), but so far it hasn't been nearly as severe as Sheri's or yours.

  18. by HatetheSwamp on August 7, 2023 9:08 am

My guess is that po's is worse than mine but back pain is my constant companion.

  19. by Curt_Anderson on August 7, 2023 9:08 am
I should have back problems but I don’t. I am 70 and I fractured by fourth lumbar vertebrae a couple of years ago. I don’t even do stretching exercises.

  20. by HatetheSwamp on August 8, 2023 3:49 am

Mine's genetic. My dad suffered from my earliest memories. My brother had to retire from his warehouse job before he could start Social Security.

It's not fun and surgery and treatments haven't advanced very far.
